Had a blast hanging out with Chef Neet and learning the “art” of charcuterie board making and pairing bourbon along with it. Just goes to show, bourbon has more depth when you fuse it with a culinary mindset. Kudos to the staff for spending their Saturday evening with us. I’d highly recommend this for anyone looking for something a little unique to do!

A great evening with industry friends celebrating the new Bardstown bourbon collection! All phenomenal pours with proceeds going to local charities. Hard to pick a favorite but all had great stories and unique offerings. Looking forward to adding these to the bunker when they officially release! 🥃

Happy Thirsty Thursday friends! I know I’ve been slacking on the social media posts lately, but I’m still alive and working hard in the bourbon industry. My counterpart James keeps the content rolling in at our Let’s Talk bourbon page! I’ll do better, promise. It’s been a busy few months of bourbon work, and I’ve got more exciting things to share with you soon! Speaking of exciting, today was a fantastic day for a another barrel pick. Once again I found myself in the bourbon motherland of Bardstown, Kentucky. This time at Lux Row. So let’s talk Ezra Brooks and Rebel Yell (soon to be JUST Rebel). Have you had these expressions? Lux Row is making some phenomenal whiskey! Today I helped pick a barrel of each at 120 proof, and wow are they going to be good. One is a wheated and one is a rye bourbon mash bill. If you get the chance, get out there and take the tour and try their products. And definitely try their 12 year distillery exclusive picks! The property is beautiful, and if you are lucky... you may just see a peacock or two walking around on your tour. They have over 10 peacocks on the property! Talk about outclassing distillery cats as a mascot. 😂😂 Let me know what you guys think of the whiskey coming out of here. Cheers! 🥃

What better way to celebrate Bourbon Heritage Month than picking a private barrel of bourbon at Heaven Hill?! Elijah Craig has long been a favorite of mine and none of these choices were bad! Opted for a 9 year that is just fantastic. Heaven Hill has recently renovated their property with some nice looking updates so a real treat of a visit! 👌🏻🥃
