An engagement photoshoot in the City Of Love – c’est magnifique!

These world travelers whisked themselves away to Paris for a summer holiday and were delighted to find their friend and wedding photographer was also traveling there at the same time.

A Parisian photoshoot at all the iconic spots followed and showcases this couple’s shared love for adventure, travel and the cultural arts.

The countdown to their wedding day is on! Wishing them and all my couples engaged and wed a very Happy Valentine’s Day! 💝

“One Dream, One Love!” 🐾🍗❤️🚘🎉

Nelson knew SaraBeth was the one when he asked, “What’s your favorite place to get fried chicken?” and her reply was “Canes chicken, duh!”

Nelson immediately dropped to the floor and proposed (for the first time!) to SaraBeth!

Raising Cane’s had to be the first stop as they started off their newlywed life!

When you book a wedding with Events by Julie the bride and groom receive a complimentary transportation service. The chauffeur picks y’all up from your wedding reception and is there for your grand send off!

Thanks for the song and getting it stuck in my head! 🙃

May 2025 continue to be this high positive energy from SaraBeth & Nelson’s wedding! 🙌🏻 Fun and we’re here for a good time!

SaraBeth surprised Nelson with an appearance of the UK Wildcat during their reception! 😻💙🎉 Nelson walked down the aisle to “Bittersweet Symphony” and SaraBeth incorporated a UK charm in her bouquet as her Something Blue to honor Nelson’s passion for UK basketball!

The Wildcat DJing, sliders and fries, and a second dress change kept the party going! SaraBeth wore her mother’s wedding veil with her second dress. I give a huge nod of approval for a second look for the groom too!

Cheering on our Wildcats tonight! 💙

“The Little Things That Matter…”

There’s so much decision making that goes into planning a wedding! The final decisions often reflect meaningful moments and shared memories from the couple’s love story.

For SaraBeth and Nelson’s wedding, their ceremony program had a section titled “The Little Things That Matter” which cleverly cued the guests in on the heartfelt reasoning behind the couple’s decisions.

Her grandfather officiated (with the most charming southern accent) the same ceremony script he used to marry SaraBeth’s parents 31 years ago and SaraBeth wore her grandmother’s wedding band.

When Nelson proposed to SaraBeth, at the Green Brier at Christmastime, a violinist just happened to be playing “A Thousand Years” and so naturally they selected this song to be for her bridal entrance. Both the bride’s mother and groom’s mother shared their artistic gifts, which made the details of the day all the more meaningful. The jaw dropping floral arrangements were designed by the groom’s mother, Mary Jo Cagle. SaraBeth’s favorite childhood memory is helping her mom make wedding cakes. Her mother collaborated with Kristen’s Kreations to make the wedding cake.

I’m obsessed with these photographs and their First Dance song! I’m excited to share more from their wedding day!

Remember that the little things matter and having family play a part in the ceremony and wedding process can add so much beauty and love to the special day!

These wintry days have been perfect for envisioning events for the upcoming year. When I think about a local spot to host special events and gatherings in 2025, I excitedly think about !

Cibon is a Central Kentucky treasure that offers a variety of gourmet speciality foods, culinary classes led by cheese, wine, and bourbon experts, and monthly Raclette dinners.

Cibon is located on 211 Rosemont Garden across from PieTana. There are five parking spots directly in front of Cibon, parking between the railroad tracks and 204 Rosemont Garden, and street parking.

Cibon’s charming space is available for private parties. The entire space is available to rent. The front room accommodates 40 guests and the back room, the Bourbon Room seats 15 guests. The entire space accommodates a maximum of 55 guests. Cibon offers charcuterie platters tailored to your tastes and you can choose from a wide selection of wines and bourbons. Outside catering is allowed.

Experience culinary delights from all around the world and host your engagement celebration, rehearsal dinner, birthday, or anniversary celebration at Cibon. If you’re entertaining out of town guests or want to improve your bourbon knowledge have Cibon host a private bourbon tasting.

Email [email protected] to add your special event to Cibon’s calendar!

A curtsy & a bow! That’s a wrap for The Nutcracker Inspired Christmas Events! My heart is filled with so much love for these darling families and the weekends celebrating Christmas with them! I have loved being an audience to seeing little ones meet Santa for the first time, children sharing their heart’s wishes and what their mischievous Elf on the Shelf has been up to! It’s been fun hearing the popular requests of hoverboards, slime, and squishmallows on their Christmas list and the unique requests of a gum-ball machine, goat yoga, lunchbox and Raising Canes!

I’m always so impressed by the families that color coordinate like wearing matching PJs, UK blue, and the ones that even match with the event’s theme!

I’m sure it’s no small feat getting these children all dressed for a photograph with Santa Claus. Bless my Mom for allowing her tomboy middle daughter to wear blue sweatpants with my Christmas red dress! A photograph my sisters and I will have to recreate one day.

Memorable moments from this year will be the craft’s paint freezing because the heat went out in the space, the saint who brought Starbucks coffee to warm us up, a sweet proposal in front of the Santa backdrop (she said yes!) and the photoshoot with combat Santa for 5.11 Tactical!

It’s a gift for me to spend time with each of these talented artists. Laine’s face painting creations are works of art, ballerina Dot dazzled the guests and taught impromptu ballet moves to dancers. Santa dedicated his whole heart to each family making sure each child felt heard and seen. That’s the gift that each of these incredible artists give and their presence is the real present.

These families touch my heart and bring so much joy to me more than they know. I love seeing the families who come every year making it a tradition.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas! ❤️

I’m grateful for Greece!! 🇬🇷 As the “Swim team” gathers around for Thanksgiving and share what we are grateful for, this year I’m particularly grateful for my time in Greece.

A backyard wedding last fall connected me with a bride planning a destination wedding in Mykonos. I’ll be forever grateful our paths crossed and I was gifted the chance to plan a destination wedding.

Greece sparked my deep love for solo traveling and the reminder that God’s plan is always greater than mine.

I’m grateful that months of work across the sea unfolded into an exquisite wedding with way more florals than we ordered and with the backdrop of “Little Venice,” I got to witness a couple’s commitment and devotion to one another.

I’m grateful for the Sunset Cruise/Welcome Celebration in the Aegean Sea (fueling my love for boats!), the Greek hospitality, fredo cappuccinos, the pace of life and all the serendipitous encounters with locals and fellow travelers along the way.

Jotting down what I’m grateful for is part of my morning routine and the practice of gratitude guides me. I find gratitude is a key to attracting my heart’s desires. Gratitude bridges the gap between being thankful for where I am and where I want to be. It’s also acknowledging and giving thanks when the vision board becomes a reality!

I’m grateful for my 2024 couples who have tied the knot and the couples I’m working with for their 2025 weddings. I’m always inspired by the respect, kindness and love these couples bestow.

As my Christmas events are just around the corner, I’m also grateful for all the families I get to see each year!

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

📸 thank you so much for a fun and memorable last day in Mykonos!
