A curtsy & a bow! That’s a wrap for The Nutcracker Inspired Christmas Events! My heart is filled with so much love for these darling families and the weekends celebrating Christmas with them! I have loved being an audience to seeing little ones meet Santa for the first time, children sharing their heart’s wishes and what their mischievous Elf on the Shelf has been up to! It’s been fun hearing the popular requests of hoverboards, slime, and squishmallows on their Christmas list and the unique requests of a gum-ball machine, goat yoga, lunchbox and Raising Canes!
I’m always so impressed by the families that color coordinate like wearing matching PJs, UK blue, and the ones that even match with the event’s theme!
I’m sure it’s no small feat getting these children all dressed for a photograph with Santa Claus. Bless my Mom for allowing her tomboy middle daughter to wear blue sweatpants with my Christmas red dress! A photograph my sisters and I will have to recreate one day.
Memorable moments from this year will be the craft’s paint freezing because the heat went out in the space, the saint who brought Starbucks coffee to warm us up, a sweet proposal in front of the Santa backdrop (she said yes!) and the photoshoot with combat Santa for 5.11 Tactical!
It’s a gift for me to spend time with each of these talented artists. Laine’s face painting creations are works of art, ballerina Dot dazzled the guests and taught impromptu ballet moves to dancers. Santa dedicated his whole heart to each family making sure each child felt heard and seen. That’s the gift that each of these incredible artists give and their presence is the real present.
These families touch my heart and bring so much joy to me more than they know. I love seeing the families who come every year making it a tradition.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas! ❤️
