Our Preschool Farmers group had a blast on Friday🍀We read How to Catch a Leprechaun and went on a scavenger hunt around the farm following clues he left for us and little green footprints. Everyone was so excited to find a pot of gold at the end! We rode horses, made handprint leprechauns, made rainbow (Fruit Loop) shamrock necklaces and enjoyed outdoor centers and played games like hot potato and duck duck goose. The leprechaun left us magic rocks that we used in science. We learned about chemical reactions and everyone got to keep the shamrock coins in their rocks. Snack was so much fun! We made rainbow cupcakes and shamrock floats. What a fun Irish day we had! We can’t wait to see everyone next month for Little Blue Truck’s Springtime where we will learn about spring on the farm and baby animals.
We had such a wonderful time on Monday with our Winter Fun Camp kiddos. The weather was perfect for lots of outdoor fun. We began our day learning about seasons and the changes we see on the farm. We talked about how to care for farm animals in winter and the changes we see as spring approaches. Everyone loved our nature walk all over the farm looking for signs of spring. We made winter snow paintings and bird feeders in art. Science and STEM included a snowstorm in a jar, identifying things we found on our nature walk, planting lettuce/spinach seeds in our little take home greenhouses and making snowflake designs using toothpicks and marshmallows. For snack, everyone cut out a snowflake pattern in a tortilla then we sprinkled them with cinnamon and sugar to bake in the oven . We also enjoyed fresh orange slices. We had a little team competition and made our friends into snowmen. Of course, everyone’s favorite was spending time with their favorite horses. We hope to see you soon at our next camp.
We love celebrating birthdays at the farm and were so excited we got to celebrate one of our most favorite cowgirls ever! What a fun celebration for this little horse lover and her friends. We love you sweet cowgirl💕🎀
