Collins turns 6 today! We celebrated her with an Art Party and it was so fun! The kids made tie dye and did such a good job. Happy Birthday Collins!

My sister-in-law asked if I could come up with a few play centers for her preschooler to use over the summer. Wish granted! I came up with ten different options that she can swap out for him. These were fun to do!

I like planning other things that stretch my creativity too.

My sister went on vacation and wanted an activity for her kids to look forward to each day while staying with the grandparents. She came up with the theme “Camp Grandma & Grandpa” and I ran with it.

I kept things simple and provided all materials needed for each activity.

Here are a few of the things I came up with:

Camping themed stickers
S’mores craft
S’mores snack mix

Collins had fun doing each day’s activity and Griffin enjoyed eating the snack mix. 😁

If you’re planning a gingerbread house making party and you don’t eat the actual houses, use a hot glue gun to stick them together instead of icing. It made things so much easier and less frustrating!

This “Taco Twosday” party was really fun to plan. One of my favorite things that I found were these cactus candles that could double as decorations and party favors for the adults.

My niece, Collins, wanted a Princess Spa party for her 5th birthday this year. We painted nails, did makeup, colored hair, and treated them like princesses. She said it was the best birthday ever!

Birthday themes that stretch my creativity are some of my favorites. My nephew, Jackson, wanted an escape room birthday party last year. I came up with a variety of puzzles the kids had to solve in order to build a “burger” to feed the birthday boy.

Decorating for Christmas is one of my favorite things to do. Who wants to throw a Christmas party??

If you are having a carving party like us, carve your pumpkins out from the bottom instead of the top! Then just dump everything in the trash when you’re done and the top of your pumpkin still looks cute! I also recommend getting a metal carving tool set instead of the plastic ones. It makes things so much easier! We learned this from watching a master pumpkin carver at Silver Dollar City. Happy Halloween!
