Since graduation, things have been moving quickly as my new business develops each day. Some days I am patient and other day I can't wait to see everything in place. But as I wait for the doors to officially open, I do want to introduce to you all about myself and the services my business will provide.

I am a certified nutrition consultant specializing in food education. One of my goals will be to help individuals and families make informed, sustainable choices about their diets, ensuring they achieve better health and wellness through whole nutrient-rich foods and meals.
I will focus on educating my clients about the relationship between food and health. Whether it is to improve energy, manage a condition, or just eat better. I will provide personalize guidance, knowledge, and support, plus the tools to help you make better food choices for your needs.
I will offer one-on-one consultations, family and group programs, food demonstrations and workshops all designed to educate and inspire. My overall goal will be to support you in building a balanced, nourishing, and healthy lifestyle by offering meal prep and planning, cooking classes, knowledge and understanding of nutrition labels, pantry makeovers, and wellness programs for the community.

The Art of Food will host its first class of the year.
The Art of Risotto adult class will be held on Saturday February 10, 2024.

Menu:
Creamy Risotto
Fresh Vegetables
Shrimp / Chicken / Steak
Strawberry Tiramisu w/Chocolate Shavings

Class will consist of the preparation of creamy risotto made with Parmesan and butter with a variety of vegetables and proteins.

Date: February 10, 2024
Time: 3-5 pm
Place: Jamestown High School: 3751 John Tyler Hwy, Williamsburg VA. 23185
Price: $65 per person

Class Description:
Students will practice cooking techniques to create a creamy risotto, sauteing fresh vegetables and proteins. Plus students will learn how to create a delicate strawberry tiramisu by learning how to prepare a delicious strawberry compote with a sweet creamy mascarpone filling.

Class Expectations:
Students will work together in a fun hands-on environment. Classes will learn and practice safe knife skills by slicing and dicing fresh ingredients plus learning the technique of creating a creamy risotto.
Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted.
Students will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class. Please wear comfortable closed-toe shoes and long hair ties back.
Classes are limited to 12 students.
Recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients, including a variety of fruits, vegetables, nuts, proteins, dairy, seafood, spices, wheat, etc.. If you have a food allergy, please email me before attending class.
Waivers must be signed and emailed back before the class.

It's been a while since I have posted and I wanted to drop in and let you all what I have been doing.
First, I want to thank everyone who reached out to order their Thanksgiving meal; it really meant a lot!

This summer I started the process to become a Holistic Nutrition Consultant, I wanted to educate myself more about how food can heal, I am learning so much and loving this journey so far. This upcoming summer I am set to graduate with plans to continue my education to become board-certified.
I want to offer more and be able to help others with health, food, and nutrition. I have many plans and I can't wait to share them with you in time.

I appreciate the inquiries of the cooking classes and I will be starting in January more consistently, as I will be using them as my upcoming practicum in the Spring.
My next cooking class will be announced in a couple of weeks.
