It's the calm before the storm.
We're just over 2 weeks until the Alabama-Michigan playoff game, and before the buzz starts to pick back up I bring you news worth buzzing about.

Terry Saban has done it again.
The longtime teacher has given back to great teachers who pour their hearts out to their students.

The annual Nick's Kids Teacher Excellence Awards are in the books, as Miss Terry has honored 51 teachers from the Tuscaloosa area for their hard work.

While her husband is out recruiting, Miss Terry continues to give back.
The Sabans and Nick's Kids have given over $12 million to charities in our state.
20 homes have been built together with Habitat For Humanity.
The new Tuscaloosa Riverwalk Playground is complete, and the prestigious Saban Center is on its way.

Miss Terry has another reason to smile this weekend, for she is 3 days from celebrating her 52nd wedding anniversary with her husband.

Yes, the buzz is about to pick back up as the playoffs loom, but I thought today would be a nice day to honor Miss Terry.

She's a woman never looking for attention, but rather always looking to give her attention to others.

And that, my friend, is something to buzz about.

I want to give a shout out to the LPD for such a great job. They did to capture the person who broke into one of our storage units at S&J Storage.
About 7:30 a.m. one day this week someone cut the lock on a renter’s unit.
I noticed it when I checked on the units later that day. So I checked my security cameras, by the way it’s great to have good security cameras instead on your property!, and I watched him breathe in. I continued the renter and I contacted LPD Investigations.
Britt came right out and I showed him the footage. Matt showed up shortly with a thumb drive and I burned the video for him.
Within a few hours this dude was behind bars!!
Thanks LPD!!
