Yesterday turned into a great day for a horse show! We love being able to offer so many events- from novice walk/trotters like Olivia earning their first trophy, to the youth getting back to work after the State 4H horse show, and offering point-winning opportunities for our adult riders.

We’ve got some time off, but we will be ready to show again on August 25th!

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to all of the Salt Creek Wranglers youth members who participated at the 2024 Nebraska State 4H Horse Show!

The future of horse sport is looking great if these riders keep on participating, learning, and showing to their very best. Wranglers youth brought home 15 Champion trophies, 7 Reserve Champion trophies, and over 55 Top 10/Finalist placings.

Congratulations again, and keep up the good work! For many of you, the county fair is right around the corner! And we have an open show TOMORROW at 9AM!

We're in the depths of horse show season and we want to see YOU representing Salt Creek Wranglers out and about in the world.

DM us a picture of YOU rocking your SCW gear - and it could be anything from a High Point buckle, to a fashionable quarter zip or t-shirt, to the 2020 Virtual Show Top Ten stickers - and we'll enter you in a drawing to win a prize at our year-end banquet!

DM's must be received BEFORE November 10th to be eligible and can be any picture from this year (2024).

Silver Spurs 4H Horse Show High Point and Reserve High Point prize winners

Salt Creek Wranglers was thrilled to host and sponsor the Silver Spurs 4H show at the grounds on Saturday. It not have been a nicer day for 4H youth from across eastern Nebraska to come in and show to prepare for the upcoming Nebraska State 4H Horse Expo!

Yesterday the Silver Spurs got together to write thank-you cards for the sponsors for 30+ classes and eight high point and reserve high point awards! Again, a beautiful day at the beautiful grounds made for an excellent time.

This weekend Salt Creek Wranglers is hosting our Pre-State Vet Checks with Dr. Kate Rawlinson on July 7th, and there are still appointment times available!

Our next show won't be until July 21... but keep your eyes on our page for a special opportunity!

Salt Creek Wranglers is SO EXCITED to host this youth-only 4H show at our grounds!

This will be a great way for 4H kids to get ready for the State 4H horse show in July and their county fairs spread through the rest of the summer. Plus... we hear there are awesome prizes (buckles and bridle bags and more!)

Side note: Our grounds will be OFF LIMITS tomorrow for arena usage... as the arena has been reserved for this horse show!

Another excellent show with the best community!

We were thrilled to have new members and old friends join us for a show before the real heat set in. While it was quite hot, our judge Rachel Crook did a great job moving the show along.

4H kids and leaders-

The Silver Spurs 4H group will be hosting a YOUTH ONLY 4H show at the Salt Creek Wranglers grounds on June 29! There will even be high point buckle and reserve high point bridle bags for each age division. We even have a novice walk/jog division for any newer riders.

This show will be a great practice for the upcoming State 4H horse show and any county fairs! The show bill is posted below and you can PM this account with any questions!

There are plenty of reasons to volunteer with Salt Creek Wranglers:

- Volunteer hours are required for year-end payback for members
- Volunteer hours are required to earn year-end high point awards
- Volunteering at the gates helps our shows run smoothly and effectively
- Volunteering as a ring steward gives you a chance to see what the judge sees and potentially learn from the judge

Looking for a FUN horse show this weekend?

Join Salt Creek Wranglers at our grounds in Lincoln, Nebraska for an OPEN, pointed horse show! We will start at 9AM with halter classes and have English, Western, and Ranch classes for everyone - from Novice to Primetime!

Rainy days and wet arenas are NO BIG DEAL when you show with Salt Creek Wranglers at the Sandhills Global Event Center!

We have stalls available for our show, judged by UNL's own Lori Jaixen, and a full range of classes for the day!

Salt Creek Wranglers is hosting an OPEN show with high point and reserve high point prizes on Sunday, June 2nd at the Sandhills Global Event Center in Lincoln, NE. Starting at 9AM, we will have a full day of classes including halter, showmanship, English, Western, and Ranch!
