For our October 7th show, we are going to try a little different format in the upper arena in an effort to get done sooner. After the Ranch Division, we will do halter, western showmanship, and then the western trail. After Trail is completed, we will move Western to the lower arena and set speed events up in the upper arena. If all goes well , We think we will be able to finish before darkness is upon us. Please pass the word along. Thank you

Do to the predicted heat index we are canceling our Dressage Show Saturday in the best interest of horses and riders! We will post the rescheduled date tomorrow!

We are monitoring the weather predictions for this weekend and will make final decision on the show tomorrow evening. We were hoping that starting at 7 am and providing opportunities for keeping horses and riders cool would be enough. However, we want to ensure the safety of our riders and horses, so we are reserving a final decision until we are closer!
We will NOT post a final decision until Friday regarding the show for Saturday!!!

At this time WE ARE POSTPONING THE CLINIC, POTLUCK AND BONFIRE EVENT SCHEDULED FOR THIS FRIDAY. As soon as we are able to coordinate schedules we will announce the rescheduled date.

The dressage ring will be set Saturday morning if we have a show, however, it will not be available earlier.

Attention all dressage riders! Important information for our upcoming show (8/26):

Due to the prediction of high temperatures we have been working on ways to keep our show as safe and comfortable as possible:

Our judge (Robin Tardy), has agreed to start at 7 a.m. If you would like a ride time between 7 and 8 please comment below and we will get you scheduled for an early time.

We will provide coolers of water and fans to help keep horses and riders cool.

No jackets required, short sleeves approved for all tests.

The amount of entries is lower for this show than they were for our last show and that means that we will definitely be done earlier. However, we know that some of you have been waiting to register based on the weather predictions and we are officially leaving registration open through noon on Thursday (8/24). Anyone registered by this time will not incur a late fee!!

Unfortunately, Summer seems to be heading out with quite a show of force! Riders please use your own discretion!

The evening events for Friday will be postponed and we will hopefully enjoy our potluck next month!

‼️Please read this full post for IMPORTANT information regarding our upcoming shows‼️
•Online early registration is open NOW for our September Double Judged Open Horse Show.
•Early entries will be accepted until Wednesday, August 30th.
❗️When registering at horseshowing.com for our dressage show on August 26th and our upper arena at the September Open show be sure to select the show that says
"USE THIS ONE"!
The other option without this will not work and we will NOT receive your early entry.
❗️Classes will each have 2 judges and will be placed twice. Riders will be able to receive 2 ribbons per class along with double the points toward their total for the year.
❗️This also means that show class fees will be double just like you were registering for 2 separate shows. Early entries will be $16 per class and day of entries will return to $20 per class. Invoices for payment with the correct amount will be sent to the email used when registering at horseshowing.com.

Hello everyone, due to the amount of rain we have received here overnight. We must cancel tomorrows show. There is no way we will be able to have the arenas in safe enough condition to compete. Our next show will be September 2nd. This show will be a Double judged show . Entries will be double as well meaning this show will count as 2 shows for anyone trying to qualify for year end points.

Attention Dressage Riders!
We had a great time getting some basic questions answered last night in preparation for our first dressage show tomorrow!
Ride times will be posted on FB later today for tomorrow! We are starting at 7 am instead of 8 to try to beat the heat!
Can't come early? Do not stress!!! We are only putting riders at 7 if they told us they could come early!
Gates will open at 530 and Upper Arena will be open for schooling starting at 6!

Now for the Best News!! We will have a true dressage Clininc Day with USDF Gold Medalist Danielle Akin Sintoni on 8/25 (prior to our next show)! You do not want to miss out on this unique and truly valuable educational experience! Sign ups and full details will be available starting at the show!

Our mini session is just around the corner! This is night to get some questions answered.
Some House Keeping Details:

1. You can pay all fees on site at the mini session, please contact us if your plans have changed.

2. Only LCHA members may bring their horse. This is due to insurance coverage. If you're not a member and wish to join we can get you signed up on-site.

3. We will have a question and answer session as well as some time to get the feel of the sandbox.

We have heard your request for more guidance and we will offer a mini clinic with Nancy Wesolek-Sterrett on July 27th from 6-8 pm at LCHA! Come out after work ( and when it cools down) to Get answers to all your questions and try out the sand box (bring your horse or just observe whatever you choose)! Only $20 per member!! ($40 for non members). RSVP to BJ Waelz!! Limited spots available!

June 24th Show Canceled, we want to keep horses and riders safe, and the footing is a mess from all the rain! Those who signed up and wish to let their entry roll forward to another series in the show we will give you a $15 discount to use on any new registration in exchange for making life easier on our show secretary. Please message us directly to let us know if you would like a refund, we can certaintly do that as well!
You can use your current paid registration for ANY show in the dressage series.

We will be offering a Dressage Q & A with an expert at our upcoming Family Fun Day!

We are also looking to schedule an evening tips to "ride your best test" dressage clinic before the July show for only $20 per member and $40 for non members!
