Flowers in the Dale

Flowers in the Dale Welcome to Flowers in the Dale, where the timeless beauty of flowers meets the cherished traditions passed down through generations.

I'm Paige, the founder of this small rural cut flower growing business in Lindale, Texas. My love of flower growing is deeply rooted in a legacy of gardening that stretches back to my grandparents' days. Their love for cultivating blooms instilled in me a profound appreciation for nature's wonders and the joy that flowers can bring to our lives. At Flowers in the Dale, we believe in more than just

growing flowers; we're cultivating connections—to the earth, to simpler and slower times, and to the little joys that enrich our lives. In today's fast-paced world, there's something truly special about taking a moment to pause and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us. Our flowers are more than just petals and stems; they're a reflection of my commitment to sustainability, quality, and the timeless elegance of nature's bounty. Each bloom is lovingly nurtured from seed to bouquet, ensuring that when you bring our flowers into your home, you're not just purchasing a product—you're welcoming a piece of natural beauty into your life. In selling to both florists and individuals, I hope that my flowers resonate with those who appreciate life’s beautiful details and understand the value of investing in moments of joy and tranquility. Whether you're treating yourself to a vibrant bouquet or brightening someone else's day with a thoughtful gift, our flowers are sure to evoke smiles and warm hearts. Thank you for choosing Flowers in the Dale. Together, let's celebrate the beauty of
nature and the timeless traditions that connect us all.

🌬️❄️ Brrrr! Winter’s knocking at the door! 🌱✨
🪴 Do you have a few potted beauties you can’t bear to lose to the freeze? Bring them inside—but don’t let any sneaky critters hitch a ride! 🐛🐞
🧼✨ Here’s a quick tip to keep your plants (and your space!) cozy and bug-free:
💦 Mix up a warm bath with Castile soap and water.
🛁 Give your plants a 15-minute soak to send those buggos packing.
🌞 Let them dry out completely before bringing them inside.
💚 Your green babies will thank you, and your she shed will stay snug as a bug-free rug! 💚
☀️ Stay warm and happy growing, friends! 🌸

🌹 If you enjoy indoor blooms run to Lowe’s and get you some of their amaryllis half price. 💴
😉 Be sure to check to make sure they haven’t already bloomed though.
🌱 In the spring you can put them in your flowerbeds and hopefully get blooms the following year. 😃

🌸 Life is full of surprises… 🌸

💥 As we step into 2025, I wanted to share a little story from the garden. 🪴
🌺 These two amaryllis blooms were supposed to be a solid red and a pink with white, but clearly, they had other plans! 😉
😍Instead, they’ve graced us with beautiful designs I never expected.
☺️This small moment reminds me that life doesn’t always unfold the way we planned. Sometimes, the unexpected can leave us frustrated—but what if, instead, we choose to see these surprises as gifts? 🎁 🤔 What if they are exactly what was meant to be all along?
💝 In this new year, may we embrace life’s twists and turns with open hearts. Let’s welcome the beauty of the unplanned and find joy in what we didn’t expect.
💜 Wishing you all a year filled with growth, resilience, and unexpected blessings.

🌷 Here’s to blooming in 2025! 💐

🎄 Merry Christmas from our home to yours! Wishing you all a day spending time with the ones you love or doing the things you love. If not, I pray tomorrow is a better day. 🥰

🎁 Last Minute Shoppers, This One’s for You! 🎁

🫣 Let’s be honest—traffic right now is scarier than trying to parallel park a 1954 Chevy truck.

🤔 Do you really want to risk your sanity (or your life) battling for a parking spot just to grab a last-minute gift?

😉 Here’s the solution: a Flowers in the Dale gift card! 🌸 It’s the perfect way to say, “I didn’t wait until the last minute…I was just being thoughtful.” 😉

😍Not only will they love it now, but they’ll really thank you come spring when my fresh, locally grown blooms are back and more beautiful than ever! 🌼

😃Save yourself the trouble (and your nerves). Message me to grab yours today! 💐

😳This crazy weather has a few of my spring babies already blooming. 😂
🌱 It’s not time little ones. Go back to bed. 💤
😉No worries though. After a couple years of cool season planting experience, I’ve learned to back up my planting dates and use varieties that I can pinch to keep under control just in case this crazy Texas weather does just this to them.
🌺 It was nice to see a little bloom though. ☺️

😳 My how just a few weeks can make such a dramatic difference. Life can be that way too I suppose.
😉The bottom pic may look stark and drab…but what you have to look really closely to see is all the new life just starting.
🤩 We have so many little plant babies planted out for spring blooms and many more starting in the seedling room.
☺️Over the cold days of winter, I’ll share what you can look forward to when spring arrives again. It’s going to be beautiful. 😍
💗 I hope you will all stick with me during this season.

🌱 No one is more hopeful than a person planting seeds. ☺️
🌹 I have some more Larkspur and Poppy seed packets available. They make great gifts for those who enjoy their flower beds. 🥰 $3 a packet and they should be sprinkled out on loose soil before the beginning of the year.

🌹 It’s hard to believe these were taken just a few days ago. The David Austin climbing rose still has blooms on it. 🤩 The dahlias are toast…until next spring.
😉That’s ok. Everything needs rest and a reset every now and again.

🥕 Where are my brown thumb gardening people?! Even experienced flower farmers have epic fails at times. Thankfully I wasn’t growing this guy to eat or we’d starve but he looks more like an orange radish than a carrot. 😂
I’d love to hear and laugh with you about your gardening fails. Tell me about them in the comments.

🎄🌸 Gardener’s Christmas Gift Guide 🌸🎄

😍As a flower grower and lover of all things green and blooming, I thought it’d be fun to share some of my favorite gardening goodies that would make perfect gifts for the green thumbs in your life (or for your own wish list 😉)!

🌱 Hand Tools That Last
I can’t live without my trusty Corona pair of floral snips and a good-quality but budget friendly Hori Hori knife. They make harvesting and planting so much easier! For larger work I am in love with my STIHL hand size chainsaw. I use it to trim up my gorgeous crepe myrtle each year as well as woodier branches or stems on plants. No help from the hubby is needed for this.😉

🌸 Seeds, Seeds, Seeds
You can never go wrong with a pack of unique flower seeds—there’s nothing more exciting than seeing those first sprouts pop up. Specialty cut flower varieties are my fave! I have harvested my own glamorous celosia varieties that are super easy to grow just for those of you who want something big, beautiful, and bold but that ANYONE can grow here in the summer. 😉 I also did my last round of sprinkling spring seeds and do have a few more of my own larkspur and poppy seeds available. They need to be planted out here soon though for spring blooms. 😍

👒 Gardening Gear
A wide-brim hat, and the most comfy, durable gardening overalls make all the difference (plus you look like a cute southern gardener🤩) I also love listening to true crime podcasts while I work but earbuds fall out when I’m sweating and bending over constantly so I have the perfect sound gear that moves with you. My Monster boomerang neck speaker is a must! I also use (even at the same time) a neck fan that helps me through the hottest days when flowers need my care the most.

💐 Subscriptions & Gift Cards
For those whose green thumbs don’t always bloom, consider giving the gift of flowers without the work! My Flowers in the Dale floral subscriptions provide seasonal, seed to bloom hand-picked flowers available anytime you need them. Or grab a gift card so your loved one can choose to get an arrangement whenever they want. A little fresh floral magic is perfect for everyone! 🤩

🧐Info and links to where you can purchase these items is under each picture. I don’t receive any kind of compensation for these. I just thought they might be helpful. ☺️

🎁 These are just a few of my favorite things as a gardener and flower farmer. If you have a green thumb (or know someone who does), what’s on your Christmas wish list this year? Share your ideas in the comments—I’d love to hear them!

Happy gifting (and growing)! 🌿

🌱 SPRING BLOOMING SEEDS ARE SOLD OUT!🌻
☺️Thanks to everyone who came out to the Barn Sale yesterday. I enjoyed seeing current customers and meeting new ones. 😃
😉Remember to sprinkle your seeds on loose soil and DON’T cover them. The rain coming up will help them germinate so get to sprinkling.
