Cutting a wedding cake is one of the most time honored traditions that spans generations and cultures but do you know the symbolism behind it? Well we were today years old when we learned some of these facts about why we do it:

1.Unity and Partnership: When the couple cuts the cake together, it symbolizes their first act of teamwork, representing their shared future and commitment to support one another.
2. Sharing the Sweetness: Offering cake to guests is a gesture of sharing the joy and sweetness of the wedding day, inviting loved ones to partake in the couple’s happiness.

Pro tip: ask your florist the best ways to repurpose your ceremony flowers. These gorgeous sweetheart table florals were also used for the ceremony aisle! Such a good way to save a buck and give those flowers more purpose!

Paris and Austin came to us two years ago and knew they wanted to book the castle for their fairytale wedding. Since then we’ve had many planning meetings and lots of communication to help pull off this VERY special day for these two and what a spectacular few days we had with them! Snowy Sunday mornings on the farm are so quiet and special. With all the celebrations and the bustle of life that’s constantly here, these moments when no one else is around can seem rare. We prefer it when your smiling faces are here but these moments are pretty special, too.

Last year we started a new grape picking event with personal instruction from our resident farmer, a walk through of the juicing process, and juice tastings with artisan cheeses and chocolates.
