There are still plenty of blooms that look good in our field! (These pics were taken yesterday) However, be aware that we are past the "peak bloom" and many of the flowers now look like the first picture where the petals are naturally ripening and drying out as they mature. We will be open a few more days but want to set your expectations for what it might look like. We'll post a link in the comments about how these sunflowers will be harvested and more info about how to visit this field! We had a great weekend full of visitors and beautiful sights.

The sunflowers will be worth visiting for another day or two, but be prepared for them to look a little wilted! The hot Kansas wind yesterday sped up their natural ripening process to where the petals are starting to fall off.

We are OPEN today but after 3 inches of rain it is very wet on the trails. If you do plan to attend today or tomorrow wear shoes that can get muddy. With sun in the forecast it should dry out quickly!

SUNDAY UPDATE: Still muddy, definitely worth coming, but as of today your shoes WILL get muddy so dress accordingly!
