NOW BOOKING TEA IN THE GARDEN RESERVATIONS FOR SUMMER 2024

Our team has worked hard for the last few weeks to prepare everything for the pre-season. We are implementing a brand-new Tea in the Garden reservation process to make booking easier for our incredible guests. Our new website is just about complete. We hope the new website provides our customers with all the information they are looking for. You will now be able to see FAQs, detailed pricing, contact information, venue history, updated gallery, private event information, and more. We will be making some minor changes in the coming weeks to improve the graphics, add more photos to the gallery, and other small details, but, the website is now live.

We'd like to share some exciting announcements with our wonderful guests.

Starting on March 15th, 2024, all Tea in the Garden reservations will be done online. This process simplifies our reservation system and helps ensure accuracy. You will be able to see what dates/times are available and book in less than 5 minutes. It will free up staff availability so that we can focus on what matters most to us--guest experience. On March 15th, we will share the link for making reservations.

In the next week or two, we will have a brand new website, complete with pricing details, frequently asked questions, venue history, and lots more. Our old website is over 10 years old and has gotten a well-deserved facelift. When the new website launches, we will post a link here. Until then, our old website is still up but please be aware some things may be changing and not everything may be accurate.

Attached to this post is our 2024 summer schedule.

We like to thank our customers, old and new, for your patronage of our small business. Our amazing customers drive us to carry on, season after season, making improvements as we can. We appreciate your patience as we update our technology to better serve our guests.

To our valued guests still planning to attend tomorrow's Sunflower Tea,

It is with great sadness that we must cancel the event. We have determined the heat is too much of a risk for our guests and staff. Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat-related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities. The risk of heat stroke is extremely high.

In addition to the weather, 75% of our guests have canceled due to either the weather or the time change.

As a small business, we must weigh all factors; with so few guests planning to come, and the extreme heat risk, it is in the best interest of our guests, staff, and business, to cancel operations.

We sincerely hate to disappoint any of our loyal guests.

If you have any questions regarding our inclement weather policy, please reach out.

We have an important update regarding your upcoming reservation at Panola Valley Gardens - Tea in the Gardens.

Due to the forecasted extreme heat and severe weather alerts, your reservation time will change from its current time (either 1:45pm, 2:00pm, or 2:15pm) to 11:00am.

Our hope is that by making this change, it will be approximately 10 degrees cooler at 11am vs 2pm. We aim to make this a more pleasant and safe experience for our guests and our staff.

If you need to cancel your reservation due to the time change or the severe weather conditions, please let us know as soon as possible.

🌹FAQ: Are meal times limited to 15 minutes? No. We usually have 12-15 tables scheduled for these events and seating times are staggered for improved guest experience. Meal times vary per group but generally last 45-90 minutes.
