We participate in competitions through both the XCEL program and the DP program. Competition for DP Levels 3-9, and XCEL Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

As we welcome many new families to NBGC, we would like to take a moment to introduce key members of our team, starting with our Owners. Barb and Mandi, a mother-daughter duo, have successfully channeled their passion for gymnastics into an amazing gym.

Learn more about each of them below:

Barb is a driven person who feels like her purpose in life is to work with children. As a young child her love was gymnastics, she started gymnastics at age 10, at the age of 14 won a JO national title. She loved being on her high school team and finished out her gymnastics career at the U of M. After enjoying gymnastics for so many years she wanted nothing more than to share that love with children. Barb says, " I have the best job anyone can ask for, being with children and sharing my passion with them. I am blessed to be able to do this."

The gym has always been like a 2nd home to Mandi. She grew up here in MN, with her mom owning a gym and also was one of her coaches. She was a JO level 10 for 5 years before receiving a gymnastics scholarship to the University of Alaska Anchorage. In her 4 years there she earned academic awards every year, and in her senior year earned USAG All-American honors in the All-Around. She received a bachelors degree in Journalism and public communications, with an emphasis in photography. She met her husband in college, after they got married, they moved to Alberta, Canada in 2008 and lived there for 11 years. There, she spent 9 years as the head coach of the competitive gymnastics team and recreational program. In 2019 she made her way back to MN to be a part of the NBGC family. She is very passionate about her love of gymnastics and the endless list of positive benefits it can bring to any child. She looks forward to many more years of coaching!
