Friends of Worumbo

Our mission at the Friends of Worumbo is "To create and manage a community gathering space and premier event venue in the heart of Maine that will provide a culturally enriched environment along the Androscoggin River. Motivated by our core values of connection, community growth, and the preservation of our scenic natural resources, we will create and maintain a treasure for our community, local b

usinesses, and the great State of Maine to enjoy." We are a committee created within Positive Change Lisbon dedicated to developing and managing the site formerly occupied by the Worumbo Mill in conjunction with the Town of Lisbon. The site will be designed to be multi-use; hosting events like the Maine Blues Festival and wedding receptions or serving as a natural space for community members to enjoy activities like yoga and farmer's markets.
