No ice is safe ice.

Planning to head out on the ice during the cold front? Be sure to check the following off your list before doing so.

1. Take a friend or notify someone of your exact location.
2. Dress Warm.
3. Check your equipment.
4. Flotation device, if possible anchor yourself to shore.
5. Ice picks/Ice Cleats
6. Emergency plan if you or someone falls into the ice. Hypothermia can happen within minutes depending on water temp and other surrounding factors. Have a plan to access a warm shelter as well as medical attention after exiting the water.
7. Be sure to yell FISH ON as loud as possible and share a photo of your catch with us! 🎣
