Every wedding feels like an honor to be part of but this one holds a brand new meaning.

Yesterday we got to put on a dream day for Amber and Michael after four quick months of planning!

On April 1st we received an email from , an organization that grants wedding wishes for couples where one or both partners are terminally ill. We had never heard of the nationwide organization but were so honored for the opportunity. After saying yes, Renee and I got to meet the couple for one quick meeting to run with the plans for their day. All of the amazing vendors below fully DONATED their time, product, and service to give Amber and Michael the dream day they deserve. Michael was diagnosed with Glioblastoma (brain cancer) in September of last year. The Decherts have been married for 16 years but never got to have the wedding they wanted. With the quoted 12-15 months to live, it was officially time for all of this time happen!

Besides knowing the date, the venue, the colors, and the timeline, the entire day was basically a surprise. They got to walk into a beautiful event to celebrate their love as they renewed their vows in front of family and friends.

We feel so honored that Wish Upon a Wedding found us and that we could create a huge memory with the help of our very talented vendor friends. We loved getting to know the couple and their family and play a part in this very special time. Michael is so strong and and an inspirational light and we all are routing for him and his battle 💪🏻 🤍

Sunday was an absolute dream day at the bride’s grandparent’s home in Bryn Mawr, PA ✨

It was truly an honor to plan a wedding for not one but two fellow wedding industry professionals & . Kirsten and Patrick are the sweetest humans and had just family and their closest friends for a very intimate day. It took place at Kirsten’s grandparents home which was special since the two had prom photos here over the years.

In honor of earth day, here are some pretty photos and eco-friendly wedding day planning decisions to consider!

1. If you’re having a welcome sign or any other signage, use a reusable material instead of paper or foam board that will just end up in a landfill.

2. If you are having guests toss items once you’re pronounced married, the items must be biodegradable! This is a requirement at most venues too.

3. Ask your florist about the mechanics of your florals! Floral foam contains a large of amount of toxic chemicals that can be harmful over time. Avoiding the use of foam ending up in landfills is the goal. If your florist can use another material, that’s the way to go!

4. We love all the pretty little stationary details like menus, place cards, etc. Consider choosing a recycled paper material since these items will get tossed out.

5. Consider donating your flowers at the end of the night instead of throwing them away! They deserve a longer life and for other people to enjoy. We never want to throw any flowers away especially when you spend so much money on them!

6. Renting decor gives materials more than a one time use. Most pillar candles can get multiple burns out of them with the desired shape and look still being present.

It’s no secret that weddings generate a lot of waste. Little decisions can make a big impact! Happy Earth Day 🌎

Our rental collection is an exclusive to our planning and coordination couples! We are not a rental company just to rent things out. We believe that our rentals are an added service that creates a full experience for the couples that have hired us. February is the month of love so we thought it would be fun to share a sweet moment🫶🏼

Morgan and Adolfo met while working at a restaurant. Morgan was the hostess! The restaurant closed before they got married and Adolfo was able to get the exact hostess stand that Morgan stood at. He let us know he wanted to surprise her with it on the wedding day! We coordinated behind the scenes with him to setup the surprise. It was such a sweet and sentimental moment on their wedding day! Fun fact- the restaurant they both worked at was where my parents tied the knot in 1989!
