We are hosting a really sweet early 5pm show this Sunday ft Meadow Makers (Dana Louise & Noah Richmond) from the hills of northwest Arkansas and Little Mazarn who will be in from Texas. The groups are going to sound so good in here. Doors open at 4pm and tickets are available for $10!

Meadow Makers are a sweetheart folk duo from the Boston Mountains featuring Dana Idlet and Noah Richmond.

‘The music of Little Mazarn is a cool float a few feet from the ground through a dimly lit, almost familiar forest. It is quieter than silence, big as everything, still but always moving. If you’ve ever had flying dreams, or an amazing night time bike ride on L*D, this might be a world for you. Chords are made up of notes; Little Mazarn gives them all their own moment. There are NO superfluous notes played here. Lindsey’s kind and twisting voice ambles along over the spare sounds of Jeff Johnston’s saw bowing, Ralph White’s electric mbira wanderings, and her own slow banjo. Like DJ Screw, Bohren & Der Club of Gore, and anyone who chooses to walk instead of ride, Lindsey realizes the amazing power of slow… slow… slow music. Lindsey is at once a baby and a wise old man. Get in this canoe at dawn on some Texas river that remembers when Comanche slept under the stars.’—Thor Harris, Talkhouse

Tonight! The Easys Record Release Show w/ Juleser & Giovanni Ventello up from New Orleans * 8pm * $10

Giovanni Ventello is an indie-folk rocker from Lawrence, Kansas now based in New Orleans. As a Kansan, raised on Americana and the clever but simplistic lyrics of John Prine and Gillian Welch, Giovanni writes about the unremarkable, the monotonous, the mundane: A sock without a match and pile of old shoes become a vivid and vulnerable narrative about anxiety and autonomy. From lonesome acoustic ballads to roaring walls of distortion the music embellishes the story, carefully cradling the lyrics in gentle ambience and whining steel strings.

Meet Juleser. A Little Rock native, his endearing, earworm-inducing guitar riffs and melodies swathe you from first listen. Jules Weinheimer made the trek to New Orleans and continues to record and produce in his cozy bedroom studio, just as he has for years being surrounded by a family of musicians. Jules began creating in the realm of hip hop beats, now finding his influence in blending this genre with his love for artists like Alex G and Dari Bay, and his inherent devotion to romantic lyrics and lush instrumentation.

The Salty Dogs, one of our favorite country bands in the world, return to the White Water this Friday, January 24th with a special in the round opening set from songwriters Amy Garland, Shannon Boshears, and Emily Fenton ✨ Join us for a great night of music! Tickets available for $12 at link below.

Started as a lark retro-country act, the quartet immediately found chemistry, along with a lot of joy, as they dug into their craft. Their sound has expanded over a decade and a half, from uber-twang and purist classic country to equal parts 1954 Nashville, 1961 Bakersfield, and 1972 Everywhere.

The band has played countless shows sharing the stage with such likes of Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Jr., Old Crow Medicine Show, Billy Joe Shaver, Robert Earl Keen, The Gourds, Pete Anderson, David Rawlings, Kinky Friedman, Junior Brown, Kelly Willis and many more.

TONIGHT * FUNKANITES * 8pm * $15

Funkanites are an eight-piece Little Rock Arkansas-based Afrobeat, Soul, and Funk ensemble. They are quite capable of handling any genre thrown at them, however, their focus is heavily on late 60’s and 70’s Afrobeat, Soul, and Funk with a contemporary spin on the genres. Big bombastic horn lines are the norm, as well as an airtight rhythm section that stretches and sews the pocket but never leaves it. They are ambassadors of a music that is not so readily available in a live setting in this day and age. They will move you.
