Elk Mountain Pottery is todays Vendor Highlight!

From the Artist - Caleb P.
I was first introduced to the ceramic arts at a young age when my mom decided to start a small pottery business in her garage in Wooster, Ohio. My mom was formerly Amish and I was accustomed to making things by hand, so pottery came very naturally to me. My passion for pottery really took flight in high school, where I took ceramics classes for four years.

After high school, I took a break from pottery for several years when I joined the military and built a successful construction business with my brother. I eventually fulfilled a lifelong dream of moving to Montana in 2017 when my time in service ended. I have lived in the Helena area since 2019 with my wife Julia and our horses, dogs, and cat. Due to old injuries, I could no longer withstand the physical demand of working in construction, and I got back into pottery after I had a spinal fusion surgery in 2021. I have been doing pottery full-time ever since, with the help of my wife.

I enjoy producing diverse pieces so that there is something for everyone on my table. I almost never go to the wheel with a plan in mind, and I prefer to let the clay speak to me. My pottery is inspired by Montana’s mountains and wildlife, my own animals, and nature in general, with a touch from my Ohio roots.

"Nature’s Second Chance Creations specializes in crafting unique, one-of-a-kind handmade wooden lamps, tables, custom candle holders, cutting and charcuterie boards, cribbage, chess and checkerboards, trivets, coaster sets, key, coat and towels racks, wall decor, walking sticks, wood and epoxy fidget pieces and more!

All wood items are 100% handmade in our woodshop in Livingston, Montana by the artisan, Myron Kovash. We used reclaimed and exotic woods for unique handcrafted pieces.
