Cedar Hill Golf and Country Club has been a premier members-only country club located in Livingston, New Jersey since 1921. Cedar Hill is the successor of Cedar Ridge, which closed for two years during World War II. The Club reopened as Cedar Hill in 1945. In 1966 Cedar Hill became a member owned Club.
Our picturesque golf course features "twin" Par 3's with the 10th playing straight downhill and the 16th recapturing the clubhouse level. From the back tees the course measures 6,447 yards and plays to a slope rating of 129. The course is mainly bent grass, poa, greens, tees and fairways with a mixture of bluegrass, ryegrass and fescue grass in rough areas.
In the late 1990's, the Club hired Northeast Golf Company and architect Robert McNeil to provide a master plan for improvements to the entire course. Since 2000, the Club has implemented many changes, including over 70 new sand bunkers, a number of grass hollows and miles of drainage.
The Club also added a state of the art Practice Facility with a 15,000 sq. ft. grass tee, chipping area and practice bunker and a 6,000 sq. ft. putting green. The Par 4 17th Hole is one of the signature holes at Cedar Hill, which features an 18,000 sq. ft. pond framed by a fieldstone wall and bunkers along the right side of the green. Water also comes into play on holes 12 and 14 with an acre and a quarter pond located on the tree lined back nine. Recently, the 3rd and 9th greens were rebuilt and bunkering was added to the 2nd and 8th holes.
