So, tulip sessions this year. I have had a few express interest in them, so I am pondering offering mini sessions at the farm in Sparta again this year. The rules at the farm have changed, though. Photographers can not reserve time slots, and the farm will be open to the public at all times. What does this mean?
A. There is a HIGH chance of people being in your background. And since tulips are shorter (than like wildflowers or cotton), it will be a LOT harder to keep people out of the background.
B. Being able to use the farms' props is not guaranteed. If the prop is being used during your session time, there isn't much I can do, and waiting would cut into your session time.
B. I will have to rent for the whole day so the deposit to reserve your spot will be more.
C. The fee would have to be $60 for 15 minutes and 10 photos (with the option to purchase more) to cover all my costs, which I realize is more than my normal mini session fee.
D. Unless it is cloudy, please note that your photos WILL be sunny. Since these will be before leaves are on the trees and there is ZERO shade.
E. Lastly, these would probably be the end of March. That is subject to change since it is all about when the bulbs bloom.
Knowing all these things, is there any interest for these? Would you prefer a Saturday (more people) or a Thursday? Does it matter?
