The last time we had a LIVE open event in Scotch Plains, 45 teams participated with some large cash prizes at stake! Who’s in for MMSP3:

Back in Spring 2019, our 2nd Scotch Plains/Fanwood/Westfield Midnight Madness game was played (our traditional LIVE game for ADULTS). Little did we know that this was going to be our last open event in the area for a long time...

Covid had cancelled 2020 and 2021, and postponed the game in 2022 and had temporarily pivoted our game from a live event to a virtual one for a limited period of time.

This pandemic has changed our lives but we won’t let it destroy the competition!

So, we are here to announce that we are BACK!

Our 3rd Annual SCOTCH PLAINS, FANWOOD, WESTIELD (and surrounding areas) LIVE Game will be on SATURDAY, JUNE 10th, 2023 @ 8:00 PM.

Registration is OFFICIALLY open (Registration Details Below) for these towns and towns in the surrounding areas.

We are coming back with all NEW and exciting clues!

SYNOPSIS: For those of you who have not played our LIVE game, it's a game (or some may say a "race") around the town and surrounding areas where you will receive a series of clues. Once you figure out the clue, you would drive to that location, take a selfie, text your picture to your assigned Game Masters, and call in for your next clue, and so on. Once you get to the final clue, you will receive a puzzle. The first team to complete the puzzle wins 1st Place. Depending on the number of teams will determine how many places receive prizes. The game ends at a local establishment where you can eat and drink with members of all teams.

TEAMS: We recommend a team to consist of 4 to 6 people per car.

TEAM COLORS / THEMES: Returning teams will get first dibs on their Team Colors or Themes from prior years. Then, we’ll offer up colors or themes on a first RSVP, first serve basis. But, you can be as creative as you wish for your Team Theme.

REGISTRATION: When you register, please provide the list of names (first and last) of your teammates with their email addresses. Also, please provide your team color/team theme that you will dress up as on game day. In addition, please select one person to be your Team Captain. Let us know who this lucky person is and provide a cell # for that individual.

Finally, since we are launching games in multiple towns in 2023, in the subject row of the email, please put: “MMSP3” for the Scotch Plains, Fanwood, Westfield game followed by your Team Name/Color. Example: MMSP3: Team Orange or MMSP3: Team Clueless

COST: The cost to play is $40 per person with $20 of that being the fee and the other half ($20) going towards the prize pool.

WHO CAN PLAY: Anyone. Please be 18 and older. Under 21 may not be allowed into the resturant or bar.

SPREAD THE WORD: The more the people, the bigger the prize pool. Please feel free to pass this along to any friends that you think would be interested in playing. Many new people have moved to the area since 2019 and should have a HUGE post game party at the final clue’s location.

INFO: About 3 weeks before game day, we will then start up communications to all of the teams / players. This will include a Welcome to the Game email that will provide the starting location and other important information, a waiver form, supplies to bring, game master / team assignments as well as the official rules of the game.

ITS GAME DAY!!!

MIDDAY MADNESS: AN INTERACTIVE CLUE HUNT

Midday Madness Clue Hunt returns to downtown Westfield on Saturday, April 22, from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Calling all families and friends to participate in a clue hunt that requires the players to use their cunning with and problem-solving skills to decipher clues that lead them to various location throughout downtown Westfield.

Come up with your team name and show your spirit with a unifying team color or theme. The crazier, the better!

Arrive just before 1 pm at 100 Quimby Street under the tents to begin this fun-filled Clue Hunt throughout downtown Westfield. You will receive a link list of clues. Once you've solved each clue your team must find the location and take a selfie before moving onto the next one. Repeat until the game is complete.

The finish will also be at 100 Elm Street under the tent. Teams with the best score will be announced on social media and entered into a random drawing for prizes.

The cost to participate is $8 for adults and kids 12 and under. Register online prior to the event only. There will be no onsite registration.

Rain date will be Sunday, April 23.
