Hey there! It has been awhile since I popped in and did a little into about myself.
My name is Colleen and I am the owner of Silver Bean Events. 2020 has been such a wild ride and I cannot wait for things to turn around so we can start celebrating with our clients.
The things I miss most about weddings are the moment the father of the bride sees his little girl all dressed up for the first time 👰, the emotional walk down the aisle 💐, and the epic dance parties with close friends and family 🎵. This year is only a short pause on large weddings and events and we cannot wait to get back at it!

We are throwing it all the way back to 2018 today (and I cannot believe it has been that long since K + R tied the knot!) This was the most gorgeous wedding for an even more gorgeous couple!! It encompassed the best of Detroit, and I love me a Downtown Detroit Wedding! Plus, does it get any better than the Colony Club? They also had the most delicious sliders for their late night snack which is just what is needed after hours of dancing!!

Happy Wednesday!! I am sure I am not the only one having a hard time keeping track of the days recently? •

I have been doing a lot of thinking and reflection on how to find the silver lining during this quarantine. •

First, I am forced to sit down and finally reflect on my amazing 2019 couples including these beauties!! Special shout out to Pat who is out on the front lines caring for those in the hospital. •

Slowing down. I am always moving at 110% and overpacking my schedule. It actually feels nice to have a little bit of down time each day. •

Connecting. I have never just sat down and talked to my parents, grandparents, and friends on the phone without distraction. •

While nothing about the recent weeks has been ideal or easy, it helps to take a step back and enjoy the little things in life that I have definitely lost track of. •
