Years ago I grew up making May Basket’s with my mom and grandma. They are some of my favorite memories. In honor of them I wanted to bring the tradition to Wayne County.
Once upon a time the first day of May evoked good tidings and sweet little gifts for loved ones and neighbors. The tradition dates back to the pagan rituals in the 12th and 13th centuries in Germany. Regardless of when it began flowers have remained a symbol of the spring celebration!

Fun celebration we had the opportunity to be apart of! A couple traveled here to celebrate there 50th wedding anniversary hosted @huntandgatherrestaurant.
