Widely regarded as the father of Loyalsock High School basketball, LHU professor emeritus and 1953 Lock Haven State Teacher’s College graduate, Don Keener ‘53, was recently recognized by current Loyalsock head basketball coach and 2020 LHU Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, Ron Insinger ‘73.
Keener and Insinger are 2 of only 4 coaches in the Loyalsock basketball program’s history. Interestingly enough, Insinger was also a student of Keener’s, taking a baseball and basketball coaching course from him during his student experience at The Haven.
