This weekend was perfection! After 8 months of planning, witnessing L&A’s dream wedding come to life was a joy! The design was pure magic, and reuniting with a couple I helped wed at the same spot 6 years ago was the cherry on top. Wedding season is finally here! It’s been a while and there are lots of new faces so allow me to reintroduce myself. I am Jennifer Verdon, better known to most as JJ. I am the owner and lead planner for Jennifer Jon Events. Planning weddings and events is my dream job and I am beyond blessed to get to do what I love everyday. I started planning over 15 years ago and love the fast paced, creative, wild, beautiful world of event planning. I thrive on details and love to help create a stress-free day for my clients. Bridal beauty! Don’t forget to schedule enough time for your hair & makeup services. Your stylists and planner can help you plan your morning and make sure you have enough time to get wedding ready.
Pro Tip: There are many factors that help determine how long your “getting ready” will take. Start time for your ceremony, how many people getting services, updos, extensions, lashes, photos, did you do a trial, access to bridal suite and number of stylists all play a part. It is not uncommon to begin your day at 7am (or earlier) for an evening ceremony. So make sure to plan enough time.

As someone who gets to meet and work with a number of planners each year, JJ was always someone I had in mind for my own wedding! From the moment we inquired with her, JJ was nothing but prompt, positive and beyond helpful! She provided us with several informational documents to help us along our wedding planning journey. JJ helped us the month prior to our wedding and let me tell you, she was a life saver and relieved any and all stress we had! She is amazing at commanding a wild crowd, and will be sure to corral your crazy wedding party to focus on the task at hand. She is beyond organized and extremely prompt, I didn’t even have to think twice about our decor setup or the timeline on the day of our wedding, everything was perfect. We wish we could get married all over again just to be able to work with the amazing JJ again. We can’t thank you enough for going above and beyond for us! You truly were one of the main reasons why we had the perfect wedding day!

Bridal bouquets make a statement! Your bouquet will be with you in so many pictures, this is your reminder to make a splash with it.
Pro Tip for brides, maids and anyone holding a bouquet: Hold your flowers at your belly button when walking down the aisle. 😉 it makes for the best picture.

A little late on the Thanksgiving post but I am beyond thankful for all my clients, friends, family and vendors! I still have to pinch myself that I get to do what I love and help people celebrate their cherished moments in life. 💕 I was able to host Thanksgiving with my family at our new home for the first time this year. And it was wonderful.
Hope everyone had a blessed thanksgiving!

Do you know it can take up to a year for a bridal gown? Let’s take a minute to talk about THE dress! I recommend starting your shopping 10-12 months before your wedding and placing the order 6-8 months before the big day. That allows you enough time to receive it and have alterations made. Exact time varies so be sure to ask your bridal shop for their advice before placing an order.
