Oh yes!!! Boots and Lace! I dusted a little iridescent gold on the boots and added lace and pearls to the sides.

I've been tossing around the idea of throwing a party themed "Boots and Ballgowns." Too much rain gets me day dreaming...

Isn't my Husband handsome? And about the dress... It's a 1920 vintage that I found at Little Shop of Hers in Eureka for $40 bucks!!. I lowered the neckline, brought in the waist, cut off the sleeves and used fine fishing line to sew on the lace. The hand made vintage gloves came from a little antique shop in Arcata.
It made me so happy to put it all together.

The late afternoon sun filters through the knot holes high up on the barn walls and causes golden halos to move over the barn floor and, as the sun sets, the halos move up the walls around the dance floor. It's magical!

It's off season. I've been working on the barn floor, feeding my bees. planning my garden and riding my horse. Life is good. There is nothing so much worth doing as messing around on the ranch.
Lucky me, a hot bath at sunset...I look forward to it all day.

A few years ago, I saw a picture of four Tennessee Hillbillies above the bar at the Ivanhoe. (It is also at the Getty Museum.) Since then, I've had the idea to create a female version of that picture at North Coast Hitching Post with some of my friends on Table Bluff. Last week, Chantelle, at Moonstone Images made the vision happen and we had a blast! I've included the picture that inspired our photo shoot.

Our cottage came with an outdoor spigot and piping hot water. We just added the cast iron tub and the sign. It only took 3 years to get Roman in it!
