to last summer, when we were honored to receive the 2017 Montana Neighbor Award from Gov Bullock! It's been a whirlwind year on the Ranch since then - how lucky we are to have amazing neighbors of our own!

As Joe put it then: “You only go around once and we want to give back to Montana because it’s given us everything.”

It's been a year since the Lolo Peak Fire nearly knocked the Purcell Ranch off the map. This week, Joe is traveling through Montana supporting firefighting efforts on another deadly blaze with the USFS.

We're lucky to still be here, and our hearts go out to all those battling another devastating fire season. Love from the Purcell Ranch!

Happy 4th of July from the Purcell Ranch! This year, strangers & friends from across the country have visited our Ranch: firefighters from Missouri, Colorado, and Mississippi, wildflowers sent as tokens of friendship from Maryland and California, and volunteers and neighbors from right here in Lolo.

They've shown us the true spirit of America. How lucky we are to live in a place filled with such diverse, courageous, and generous souls!

United Way of Missoula County shows what community is all about - we were so lucky to have them on the Ranch for their annual Day of Action!

Last year thousands of people gave back in over 19 countries, and here in Missoula people gave back in a variety of ways like helping clean-up efforts here at Purcell Ranch.

A successful morning with our United Way of Missoula County volunteers stacking burned timber. Thanks to everyone who came out!

In coordination with United Way’s Day of Action this Friday, June 22nd, the Purcell Ranch will be hosting a reclamation event to help restore land destroyed by the Lolo Peak Fire.

Activities will include stacking and burning small diameter trees. 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Lunch is generously provided by TrailWest Bank - thank you Rich Zins. We hope to see you there!
