This classic Irish Dress is inspired by the work of Lucas DeHeere, he drew one of a very few depictions of Irish folk in the renaissance era.

ISO student intern.

Vandenberg Village based costume studio seeking an outgoing Theatre or Fashion student for work/learn internship. You help out in the studio, and there are paid projects depending on your skills and abilities. This is a contract position only, length of internship is variable.

You must know how to sew and be willing and able to work in the studio a day or two weekly. Bonus if you have your own workspace at home or school and can work independently. I will teach you patternmaking, textiles, cutting, plus improve your design and sewing skills too. It is hands on work. Please be prepared to stand, lift, etc.

2024 renfaire season is done, time for some rest and recuperation.

ISO Summer intern in a fast paced costume design studio. 1 or 2 full days per week, hands on working/learning experience. Its an in-home studio in the Village. You need to be local to the area and reliably available with your own transportation.

You need basic sewing skills and be motivated to learn and try new things. Willing and able to lift and carry bolts of fabric, stand at table, do physical work. This gig is ideally suited for technical arts students.

You'll learn patternmaking skills, cutting, manufacturing process, textile information, and more. Full access to my reference library, all the coffee you want, a friendly dog, and we can crank the music.
There is take home piecework available based on your skill level. You should have your own sewing equipment or access to sewing equipment/lab. This is a 1099 style gig.
