This week's Couple Spotlight is Julia & Nolan! What a thoughtful proposal! Thank you for sharing your story with us. Have the best time with DJ Joey in August! ❤🎶

"We met in college (Ithaca College) in 2018 in a music class that counted toward nothing for both of us. The class was awful and we cheated off each other in order to get through it. We started dating the summer after Julia's freshman year and Nolan's sophomore year. We were long distance for the summer and both in Ithaca for the school year. We spent a year long distance while Julia got her Master's degree. Julia moved from New Hampshire to New York with Nolan and we bought a house this past March. We now have a house and two super cute cats!

Julia's grandfather took her whole family on a cruise to Alaska (Nolan was invited too). The whole family knew Nolan was going to propose and set Julia up when we docked in Sitka. We got off the boat and Nolan proposed!
He got a vest specifically for the occasion that is now called the "proposal vest". The center stone of the ring is a diamond that was left to Nolan by his late step father.

In the future we plan to continue working on adding our own flare to our home and continue working in education. Nolan is a high school social studies teacher and Julia is a speech therapist. We plan to travel together while we still have the time prior to starting a family down the line."

"Planning a wedding can be stressful, but all of the vendors we chose made everything as smooth as it could be, and our wedding day was everything we could have dreamed of and more. The Granite Rose team is stellar; they were prompt in answering our emails, set up all our decorations for us, and made sure we had any food and drinks we wanted throughout our wedding day. We loved that they gave us a private moment after our ceremony to take in the fact that we just got married before we went out to greet our guests.

Main Event’s DJ Lloyd and Yolanda and her string trio did a fantastic job at our wedding. Yolanda and the string trio set a beautiful atmosphere for our ceremony and were very helpful and accommodating in helping us choose the perfect songs for our ceremony. DJ Lloyd kept the energy high on the dance floor all night (just what we wanted!) and took great care in recording all the details we wanted, asking us about the specific mood we wanted to create and ensuring he knew how to pronounce all wedding party members names for our grand entrance.

My cousin, Andree Ciccarelli of Atelier Andree Ciccarelli, custom designed the dress of my dreams and made me feel so beautiful. We are still riding the high of our perfect wedding day!"
