🚨 Announcement from Chef Michael Romo 🚨
I began my culinary journey ten years ago, training in several restaurants throughout Long Beach and Seal Beach. I learned firsthand that the most important element of a successful kitchen is not flashy advertisements or extravagant menus, but dedication to quality and adaptability.
With that concept in mind, I founded The Brown Butter Boys three years ago as a COVID regulation-compatible pastry service. As the pandemic waned, I recognized the desire in the community to return to full-service dining in less-crowded settings, and The Brown Butter Boys began its first set of supper clubs.
Thanks to our loyal customers who took a chance with our concept, we have since grown into a full dinner service and catering company, and I have taken great pride and pleasure in welcoming both new and returning customers to our events.
Unfortunately, current circumstances have led me to make the difficult decision of stepping down as Executive Chef. It’s been a privilege getting to know each & every one of you along with your friends and family in our trademark intimate settings, from private catered events to our supper clubs. I will greatly miss personally serving you.
However, in keeping with our core value of adaptability, and to ensure continued quality, I am proud to announce that The Brown Butter Boys will continue to operate under new executive chef Monica Bueno Zamora.
Monica has been my sous chef for the last 2 years, and has been my right hand in running all aspects of the company, from back-of-house work to concept and recipe development. She has proven time and time again that she is ready to take on top leadership, and I'm grateful to leave my company in the skilled hands of a great partner.
I appreciate your taking the time to read this, and once again thank you for your loyal patronage. I look forward to perhaps meeting you at the BBB supper clubs again, though this time it'll be on the same side of the dinner table.
With gratitude,
Chef Michael Romo
