Annual Holland Festival Long Beach
For nearly 30 years the annual Holland Festival in Long Beach has been a celebration of multicultural Holland in California. This bazaar-style community fair offers a myriad of vendors selling typical arts and crafts and street food from Holland. For entertainment there are games for kids and live music to dance to.
The Holland Festival is not only a reunion for family and friends with roots in both Holland and the former Dutch East Indies (modern Indonesia), it also has become de facto the largest Indo-Dutch gathering in the USA. This also explains the large offering of Indonesian food, which is part of Dutch national cuisine.
The Holland Festival has been the result of the combined efforts of volunteers belonging to different Dutch clubs in SoCal: Holland Soccer Club, A.V.I.O, N.A.S., N.E.S.S.O. Neerlandia, R.O.S.I, Voice of Holland, Wapenbroeders. All coming together in the nonprofit umbrella organization called: United Netherlands Organizations, Inc.
Bring your picnic blankets and folding chairs to spend the day at the Gemmrig Park. Paid parking available.
