Subtract spring season is heating up, as we return to our regular hours of 2-10pm. Coming back for nothing less than his third appearance, is the German wizard of techno, a man of many talents, Mr. Robag Wruhme. His sound can be described as precise, ethereal and powerful. His musical output has graced our favorite labels like Pampa Records and Kompakt, not to mention his own Tulpa Ovi. We've had a no photos / video policy for a long time, but we will be strictly enforcing it starting in May and going forward.

For the first time ever, we are handing over the reins to upstairs lounge to our friends Secret Service LBC, who will be curating a separate line up of DJs, powered by Subtract Sound System.

Subtract on the Pier is back on February 18th for an extra special 6-hour B2B with Rinzen and Anton Tumas!!

The sky is the limit for rapidly rising Los Angeles talent Rinzen. His talent and work ethic are inspirational, to say the least. Having released on dance music labels such as Bedrock, Global Underground, mau5trap, and Desert Hearts Black, he now heads over to Lane8's This Never Happened imprint, with a full length debut album out this April.

Joining him is our own Curator-in-Chief Anton Tumas. It all started as a spontaneous back to back affair at Love Long Beach last year. Soon thereafter, Anton and Rinzen went the distance yet again. This time it was at Burning Man, inside the PlayAlchemist pyramid, for Rinzen's first-ever set on the playa. Needless to say these two have electric chemistry between them behind the decks, and this 6 hour journey is not to be missed, for what is Rinzen's debut on the pier.

We’re back with Veteran Berlin DJ Nico Stojan is bringing his eclectic and tribal-infused beats, as he joins us for the very first time. Nico is an absolute wizard behind the decks, with nearly 30 years of experience, and is also known for his Ouïe imprint, a label he co-founded with Acid Pauli.

This line up would not be complete without Subtract’s own DAVÍ, and Curator-in-Chief Anton Tumas. These two friends have absolutely ravished the pier five times together, so get your dancing shoes ready! DAVÍ has been going strength to strength lately with releases on Bedrock and Crosstown Rebels.

Mr. Patrice Baumel is coming back to the pier. His debut for us in 2019 was absolutely bonkers, and afterwards, he told us it was his favorite gig in LA in years. We're excited to welcome him back with open arms, bigger sound system and a top notch production.

We welcome DAVÍ for our March edition. A rare double-threat of DJ and producer, while excelling at both, he brings his signature sound for his 6th appearance on the pier. Not only was he Subtract's very first label release, but he's also released music on Anjunadeep, All Day I Dream, Crosstown Rebels, Balance, Sudbeat, Sol Selectas, Stil Vor Talent, and countless others. Playing alongside him is our own Anton Tumas.
