we keep Kosher but our kitchen is not supervised. our hummus is parve and the meat we use is Glatt Bet-Yosef!

Marinate lamb chops in our signature Schug and grill 5 minutes per side. That’s it.

Crispy Smashed Potatoes with Schug- a perfect simple shabbat table side dish elevated to a new level with our bright & flavorful Schug. You have to try this!!!

Ingredients;

1 lb baby potatoes
1/4 cup olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp dried thyme
Salt & pepper

Procedure;

Scrub potatoes. Boil for 10 minutes in salted water, and strain.

On a parchment lined baking sheet smash potatoes one by one using the bottom of a glass cup.

In a small cup mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, paprika, salt and pepper. Brush smashed potatoes with olive oil mixture. Roast in the oven on 425 for 25-40 minutes, until desired crispness level.

Dollop our Hummus Sababa Schug on top of the smashed roasted potatoes before serving. בתאבון!

Featured Recipe of the Week!

Hummus Bassar- a perfectly
wipeable, creamy and savory dish that can be thrown together in minutes. Nothing better than chilling around a warm dish of חומוס בשר on a Friday afternoon. Okay, we admit it could be better if the chill was in Machne Yehuda market, but that's about it. ‎בתאבון!

Ingredients;
1 lb ground lamb
1 onion, minced
2 tsp avocado oil
1/2 tsp ground allspice
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp white pepper
1/8 tsp hot paprika
Salt & pepper, to taste

Procedure;

Heat a sauté pan over a medium high heat. Once hot, add in avocado oil and let warm for 30 seconds. Add in minced onion and sauté 5-7 minutes until starting to become translucent. Season with salt.

Make room for the ground meat in the center of the pan by moving onion to the sides of the pan. Add in ground meat and let sear for 2-3 minutes without touching the meat. Using a masher, begin to break down the ground lamb. Add in spices and mix well. Let cook for 5-7 minutes.

To serve;

Place hummus on the perimeter of a shallow plate/bowl, leaving a well in the center for the basaar mixture. Top with ground meat, a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of chopped parsley and paprika for color.

TIP: Hummus is best served at room temperature or even warm, so leave hummus out of the fridge on the counter for 20-30 minutes before serving.

Recipe of the Week;

Japanese Eggplant Chips with Green Tahine- the perfect easy, healthy and addictive addition to your Friday Mazza spread!

🍆
3 Japanese eggplants, sliced 1/4” thin
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp hot paprika
Salt & pepper

Season eggplant with olive oil and spices. Place in one layer on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake 15-20 minutes in 450F oven, flip and bake for another 10-20 minutes, depending on your oven. Serve with our green Tahine for the perfect snack! בתאבון ❤️

Fish Tacos with Schug Spicy Mayo. We simply mixed our Schug with avocado mayonnaise and voila- the best spicy mayo condiment ever! Swipe right to see all the components in our tacos. Recipes below… בתאבון!

Wild Flounder (can use any white fish) - let sit in lemon juice for a few minutes. Season fish with salt and pepper. Dip filets into blackening or Cajun seasoning (or use a mixture of cumin, paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder). Place on a parchment lined tray and bake in the oven on 450 for 10-12 minutes.

While the fish is cooking prepare the sides;

Guacamole- Diced Avocado mixed with juice of 1 lime + 1/2 lemon, red pepper flakes, cumin and top with flaky sea salt.

Dice two large tomatoes, add in 2-3 chopped scallions or 1/2 medium red onion, dress with 1/2 orange, juiced and a splash of white wine vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. Add in some fresh chopped cilantro.

Toss shish*to peppers with olive oil. Using a grill pan or cast iron skillet, sauté Shish*to peppers for 5-7 minutes. Serve with squeeze of lemon and plenty of flaky sea salt.

Mix equal parts schug + avocado oil mayonnaise to get your Schugonnaise for the perfect finish. 😉 😛

Whole Roasted Cauliflower over Green Tahine

1. Cut off the base of the cauliflower, keeping some of the leaves intact where possible.
2. In a steamer basket, steam the cauliflower for about 10 minutes. It’s ready when you’re able to pierce it with a fork, but the cauliflower should still be a little firm.
3. Take whole cauliflower out of the steamer and place it on a parchment lined baking tray.
4. Preheat the oven to 480 F. Once chilled, rub cauliflower with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Roast in the oven until golden brown.
5. To serve, place a swoop of our Green Tahine on your plate and cover with cauliflower. Finish with a pinch of sea salt flakes.

Crispy crackers made with a mixture of flour, whole wheat flour and seeds- spiced with za’atar and chili flakes. Perfect for dipping into our hummus and Tahine, or they are delicious on their own.
