Being a mom is truly the hardest but most rewarding job! When you work with your mom, and she is the inspiration behind a floral career path, along with growing pains (because it’s not easy working with family!) come a lifetime of memories and getting to see your mama almost everyday. And home cooked Korean lunches. Taking a moment to be so thankful for my 엄마 / umma / mommy who is right at my side every single day. She is the biggest supporter and fan of the Rachel Cho Floral Design brand, and deserves every bit of love right back.
Having started my own motherhood journey 9 years ago, I can’t imagine having done this being an immigrant not knowing the language and culture bringing over 3 little girls to the states 🥹
Taking a little moment to myself as my sweet family (the greatest in-laws I can ask for) gave me a huge gift for Mother’s Day. A few hours alone! Love you all and have a Happy Mother’s Day!! 💐❤️🤗
What's your mom's favorite flower? Our Mother's Day designs are now available in our online shop! Go to rachelchoflowers.com or link on the bio for our full selection. 💖
You can't go wrong with a classic white and green table scape 💚🤍

60 tulips in 1 vase. Tulips are in season, so they are cheap and fresh. Try this out, it’s so fun and easy. Here’s how: Stack them neatly into a pyramid. Grab them all carefully. Gently cut straight across with a knife. Tie with a rubber band. Place into a clear vase and show off those clean lines. Tell me how you did 🤩 #tulips #tulipsofinstagram #tulipseason #flowerarranging #flowerarrangement #rachelchofloral
Don’t be afraid to experiment! Try these tricks the next time you make an arrangement. - reflex or twist rose and tulip petals (gently) - so fun! You’ll be delighted with the results - choose flowers that are similar in color tone - for a nice full bouquet I use about 24 stems of flowers to make an impact. Change it up! I love using different flowers together. Whatever you do, experiment, have fun, and find your groove 🤩 #floraldesign #floristsofinstagram #flowerarrangement #flowerarranging #florist #rachelchofloral

Yellow + red isn’t the easiest color combo to work with.. but when it’s Lunar New Year, we go a little EXTRA with it 🧧🌟❤️💛 Ingredients used: kumquat branches, red painted fan palm, azima and Japanese oncidium orchids, gloriosa, quince, and pin cushion. 🤩 Split your branches to help absorb more water to last longer. Be sure to Like, Share, Follow for more flower tips, hacks, and flower arranging 🌹 Happy Lunar New Year to you! #lunarnewyear #flowerarranging #kumquats #orchids #quince #rachelchofloral
Tulips are in full effect 🥰 YAY! Use them reflexed or as is, you can’t go wrong. I ❤️🧡 them to pieces. From this dead of winter until the end of spring. Take full advantage of all the colors, shapes, sizes, and textures this season.. double petaled, fringed, French, star, dyed, you name it. Who loves tulips as much as I do? 🙋🏻
I’m making this for my 2nd grade elementary school teacher, from Queens, NY. It was ordered by her daughter who I met back then when Mrs. Chin brought her into work one day and spent the day with us in class. I was a quiet and shy kid, and I was new to the school and did not speak English. Mrs. Chin helped me learn English and was always so kind. Fast forward 37 years later, her daughter Allison called my studio saying I was her mother’s favorite and wanted to send her mother, Mrs. Chin, a floral arrangement from me. So here I am, creating a holiday arrangement for my 2nd grade teacher. My daughter is in 2nd grade now, and this reminds me of how fast time flies by 🥹 #nycflorist #grateful #fullcircle #nostalgia #floralarrangement #floristsofinstagram #rachelchofloral

It’s fall y’all 🍂🧡 It’ll be holiday season soon, so here to share some Thanksgiving fall colors before it quickly turns into reds, silvers, golds, & glitter✨ the day after Turkey day 🦃 Also, that mum that looks like a sunflower 🥰🤩 #bouquetmaking #bouquet #thanksgiving #floraldesign
Ready for Thanksgiving? If you’re hosting a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with food and a beautiful centerpiece, use this tip on your flowers: Sprite = sugar + citric acid Bleach = bacteria killer A small amount of both will help keep your arrangement to last a little longer. That means you can make your table centerpiece a day ahead. Sugar and citric acid helps to nourish the flowers. Bleach helps to ward off bacteria that causes them to wilt faster. This cocktail dose will help to lengthen the shelf life of your flowers just a tad longer. Want to know more? Giving “cheap” carnations their moment to hang out next to the expensive ranunculus by giving them a slight makeover. Whether you’ve seen/used this hack before or you’re seeing it for the first time, carnations get a bad rap by themselves most of the time 😢 Me? I have always loved them, middle petals stripped or not 🧡 Be sure to follow for more flower hacks, tips and tricks, and how to arrange/design/have fun with flowers. #flowerlovers #carnations #makeover #floraldesign #flowers #flowerstagram #rachelchofloral
A new “twist” on roses❣️We’ve been reflexing rose petals for a while now. How about twisting instead? It’s slightly gentler on the petals than reflexing, opens up the rose beautifully, rounds out the shape of the rose, provides excellent coverage and adds a more interesting texture to your arrangement. And very satisfying and fun to do 😌 Save + like + share + follow for more flower how-to’s 😉

My 1-hydrangea arranging. I’m using a piece of chicken wire along with the hydrangea because the vase was a little large for the number of flower stems recipe’d. This helps to place the stems where you want it to go and prevents shifting around after you arranged (ie delivering/transporting). You always need to assess the situation to help you decide on what mechanics makes the most sense for your arrangement. Stay tuned, follow, share, and like to get more tips on flower arranging whether you are doing it as a hobby or are a budding florist 🤩🥰 #floraldesign #flowertutorial #flowerlesson #flowerarranging #rachelchofloral
How to dry a sunflower 🌻 1. Cut the bloom off of the stem 2. Add a layer of silica gel beads into a tupperware 3. Lay each bloom face down, leaving enough room for each one and straightening out the petals 4. Pour silica gel beads all over and completely cover them 5. After 4-6 days, fish them out carefully! The silica gel beads absorb the moisture out of the flower while maintaining the shape and color. The more water a bloom holds, the longer you should leave the bloom in the silica gel beads.
