Why we don’t recommend this. . . ⁣

Yesterday, we talked about why you should not, under any circumstances, put your wedding party on dog duty for your wedding. Today, we’re chatting a little more in depth about why putting them on dog duty for the ceremony is not the best idea (in most situations). ⁣
⁣
While we know everyone in your party is crazy obsessed with your dog, the responsibility of watching a dog during the ceremony, specifically, utilizes 100% of our attention. ⁣
⁣
We would absolutely hate for your wedding party to miss a single moment of you saying “I do” because they were tuning in to your dogs’ needs, either by giving them attention, treats, or having to walk them away! ⁣
⁣
This doesn’t mean that your wedding party and your doggo cannot interact on wedding day! A few of our favorite wedding party/doggo moments include: ⁣
⁣
1. Capturing all the photos together ⁣
2. Having your wedding party walk your dog down the aisle (if they want to and have had ample notice that this is the plan lol) and then hand them over to us! ⁣
3. Having your wedding party sit in the front row, next to your dog and pet attendant so they can volunteer lovin’ but aren’t responsible for their behavior ⁣
⁣
There are so many ways for your wedding party to have fun with your dog on your wedding day without bearing any of the responsibility. ⁣
⁣
Now, we will say that we are always, always on standby in the event you’d like to have your wedding party hold your dog at the altar. And we will form plan A-Z to ensure we have backups, as needed. At the end of the day, this is your vision, and we are here to support you and your dog, fully! ⁣⁣⁣⁣
