Best Apple Pie Baking Contest - 2024 Loomis Fruit Shed Fest

We are excited to invite you to compete in this year's Best Apple Pie Baking Contest on Saturday, October 5th, 2024 in the Loomis Train Depot.

Amateur and community chefs are invited to sign up

CONTEST PARAMETERS:
1. Applications Deadline - Thursday, October 3, 2024

2. Recipes must be submitted with the dish and contestants agree to allow Loomis Chamber of Commerce to use in promotions.

3. Cooking Contest winners will be awarded:
1st Place $100
2nd Place $50
3rd Place $25

• Judging will begin at 10:30 a.m.

4. Winners will be announced at 1pm at the Community Stage (train Depot).

The free Chalk Art Contest, is an opportunity for all levels of abilities to express themselves through their art drawn on asphalt.

Register by Thursday, October 1st.

Did you know Loomis, CA. was one of the 2nd largest
fruit-shipping stations in all of Placer County.

The Pacific Fruit Express Co. Brought ice into Roseville
allowing local fruit farms to ship their produce revolutionizing the industry.

Not only is the fruit shed (which was the main fruit packing building) the train depot station has a huge place in the history of the fruit industry in Loomis.

The new Fruit Shed Fest honors our history while carrying us into the future.
