In celebration of Black Business Month, we honor the invaluable contributions of Black entrepreneurs to our nation’s economy. With over 161,000 Black-owned businesses generating more than $183 billion annually, their impact is undeniable. Yet, despite these achievements, Black Americans remain underrepresented among U.S. entrepreneurs and face significant challenges in securing funding.

At TGS, we recognize these obstacles and are committed to making a difference and uplifting those in our community. Stay tuned as we prepare to launch a new funding resource specifically for TGS members, designed to empower and support Black entrepreneurs and business owners.

Summer is winding down and school is almost back in session! Together with and The Gathering Spot members, we packed over 200 book bags for students in Atlanta. Thank you to everyone who joined us in making a difference and helping our community start the school year strong!

We are deeply saddened by the horrific and preventable death of Sonya Massey. The concept of TGS was birthed out of the pain and loss of Trayvon Martin 12 years ago and we still hold this moment close in our values and mission.

We stand with the family and loved ones of Sonya Massey and our broader community. She should still be with us and we will continue to fight to end police brutality.

Our tradition at TGS has always been to directly engage issues that are important to our community. We will continue to do so but are dedicating today to standing with and for one another in light of the recent Supreme Court rulings. For many within our community, today and the days moving forward will be tough. Our core mission of building and creating community are as important as ever. We will be back soon to map next steps but today is about caring for one another.
