Happy 2 year anniversary to these two. I still remember where I was when I got the email from Grace asking about my availability for their wedding and knew, immediately, that this girl gets me. Their love story was a joy to share. Except for the part where I sweat profusely throughout their entire ceremony in like 100% humidity. I’m the guy in their photos who looks like he just swam in a pond. Nonetheless, their review of our Rom Com ceremony remains one of the most thoughtful accounts of what I do and the deep purpose of storytelling. (Excerpt here!) One of the commitments I make to you as your wedding officiant is looking good in your photos!

Those of you familiar with my story as of late know that I’ve been swigging at a number of curveballs in my personal life lately. Things have felt kind of out of my control, so I wanted to commit to something that I could accomplish. I’ve also wanted to return focus to my physical health & well being which had to take a back seat this past year. So, I signed up for the March Muscle Mania challenge at

15 classes in 28 days. May not seem like much, but that meant gong to the gym more days than not. And even that simple challenge proved formidable given the requirements in my personal life lately. But I did it for me. I did it when I was sick. I did it with back pain. I did it with an injured wrist. I did it when my wife thought I might be pushing myself too hard. I did it because even when life seems like it’s conspiring against you, you can still set deadlines, stick to them, and remind yourself that goals are achievable one small step at a time. May take longer than expected, but you can make improvements and feel accomplished.

I’m coming for you aka the Muscled Maple Moose. I just made that up. It’s out there now. It’s gonna stick. 💪🍁🫎
