The Llama Story.

Real talk: the reason couples would pay more for a silly llama than for their officiant is because they expect the ceremony to be BORING. We have a responsibility to make the ceremony a BLOW-YOUR-MIND-UNFORGETTABLE-EXPERIENCE and to prove to wedding audiences everywhere that we’re worth more than a farm animal novelty! The llama lobby will rue the day they campaigned against us!

Taylor & Patrick booked me nearly 2 years before their wedding! So to say we’ve been waiting a long time for this is an understatement. Gotta say… it was worth the wait, because we had so much fun we raised the dead!

Their Dia de Los Mu***os wedding was not just a visual showstopper but a beautiful honoring of the loved ones they’ve lost and an invitation for their entire community to join the celebration, past & present. Plus, they asked if I would paint my face and I couldn’t say yes fast enough. (Note to future couples - if you let me outside the box I will go above and beyond to create a unique experience!)

Hands down the most unique wedding I’ve ever been a part of. Ana had me at “Haunted House on Halloween.” Everything about this family and what they do is EXTRAORDINARY so I knew I had to bring my A-game for their ceremony. I threw out the rule book and leaned into the couple’s personalities and dark sense of humor. I just hope they had as much fun as I did.

This was the last year of their incredibly popular family haunt and I’m honored to have been a part of its storied local legacy. Thank you Ana & Kenny for inviting me to your “circus of bullsh*t,” I’ll be your ghoulish ringleader any time!

I know I make jokes in this video, but Mary & Jed’s wedding has no comparison. Planned & coordinated by the incomparable Beth Helmstetter and featuring countless performers from Elan Artists, this party was incredible! We rocked a sunset ceremony with one of the best crowds I’ve played to all year. So grateful that I got to be apart of this celebration and hope that I at least placed in the top 5 of the couple’s favorite experiences from the night. A wedding befitting an unrivaled love story. Congrats to the newlyweds!

Happy 2 year anniversary to these two. I still remember where I was when I got the email from Grace asking about my availability for their wedding and knew, immediately, that this girl gets me. Their love story was a joy to share. Except for the part where I sweat profusely throughout their entire ceremony in like 100% humidity. I’m the guy in their photos who looks like he just swam in a pond. Nonetheless, their review of our Rom Com ceremony remains one of the most thoughtful accounts of what I do and the deep purpose of storytelling. (Excerpt here!) Still grateful that they invited me back to the exact spot where I got married nearly 8 years ago. Happy anniversary, fam!
