My name is DJ Gaets and I’d like to tell you a story of how I ended up here. In 2002 I purchased my first set of turntables because someone was having a party and they had no DJ. Having saved up money from summer jobs I took this as a sign from the entrepreneurial gods. Mind you this was pre-steaming era and I was a pro at Limewire & Kaza! With my binder full of burnt CDs I learned how to DJ and this quickly ignited my passion for Radio. I landed my first internship with 933FLZ & The Rat & Puff Show in Tampa, FL. Here I got my first taste of being an MC at events and on-air. I then landed my first job in radio with CBS Radio’s Wild 941 as a member of the street team. After graduating from the MIRA program at SPC my professor advised me to look into moving to a major market like LA or NY. I then applied for a transfer to CBS radio in LA and landed the job of my dreams with 97.1 Amp Radio. This is where my love for DJING was reignited as I had the opportunity to DJ huge events and find my DJ tribe “Trip Eazy”. Our collective held multiple events throughout the city that helped bring the spotlight to DJs and a new wave of music called future bass. Working production jobs to stay afloat while chasing my radio dreams was a full time task and eventually I was in attendance for the downfall of commercial radio. Now working a full time job I still found time for music even when I was completely depleted. Eventually finding my way into a job at Coachella I decided to call it quits on corporate life, sold my car and began the next stage in my career. In 2019 I worked my first wedding and discovered how all my experience created the perfect formula for a Wedding DJ. I began booking as many weddings as humanly possible through an LA based booking agency. After surviving COVID 2020 doing a few small weddings in Orange County (where there was no rules). I started 2021 off with a completely full schedule and appeared at 65 weddings in the SoCal area. Fast forward 2 years a
