Time for a new intro post! We are Ben + Krystal DeRuiter! We are the owners and operators of Brave Productions. We have worked to build our company and the reputation of our name to be something we are really proud of! First and foremost we are lovers of Jesus and Ben works vocationally in ministry full time. We have 3 kiddos and often share the adventures of our family.

We specialize in wedding videography but have done lots of lifestyle work as well as corporate work. We love to capture your biggest moments and allow you to replay them as if you catapult yourself back into the emotion of the day. Our couples choose songs they love and it makes wedding sneak peeks so special to each individual couple. We truly are honored with every wedding we are asked to film and take pride in our professionalism, our skill, and our love of story telling.

For those that are new around here, this is us! Ben + Krystal DeRuiter 🤍🎥 We are lovers of Jesus and lovers of love and are out here running around creating memories to last a lifetime. We now have over 65 weddings of experience and have have grown tremendously in our craft and our ability to create a seamless stress free experience. In fact we pride ourselves on our client interaction and overall customer experience and are deeply thankful for our past couples who have left us their kind reviews.

We really strive to come in competitively with our pricing, BUT our best sales pitch is that you get US! Haha.

What’s better than celebrating your beautiful love story on the beautiful island of Oahu?! The most accommodating bride and groom just wanted nothing more than to start their life together. I love that the weather the entire day was amazing and then for the 15 minutes of the ceremony it just poured rain. In Hawaii this is called Ua Blessings and is considered so special. Sabrina + Garrett, you were a joy to work with! Thanks for taking us along on your Hawaiian wedding adventure!

Hi!! We are Ben + Krystal and we are the faces behind Brave Productions! There so many new folks that have joined us on our journey as we capture and create beautiful memories through film. We are 100% a good time and absolutely love every single one of our couples we work with! We literally aim to be everyone’s favorite event vendor 🤓 It has been a craaazzyy year of learning and loving each other as we embarked on this new adventure.

A little about us! Today, 3/30/23, is actually our 5 year dating anniversary! We are a blended family with 3 beautiful kiddos who are every bit amazing and also every bit chaotic all in one. We love Jesus and aim to share the good news of Jesus Christ in the way we live our lives and run our business. We are honest, FUN, responsive, and 100% excited to serve anyone who wants to hire us! What a journey it’s been so far, and we are so excited for what 2023 has in store!

As we head into the holiday season I’ve been thinking a lot about this past year and the ways the Lord has used Brave. Through our many projects we’ve been able to travel, tell the stories of couples, businesses, families and so much more.

Yet, as I sit here and look at this picture of a little boy who has very little in this world, I see the joy of the Lord on his face because he has a family that is being fed physically and spiritually through the ministry. It blows my mind that God has chosen us, broken people, to share stories like this one. To me this is what this year has been all about, telling stories and sharing God’s Glory!

It’s been a while since we’ve just shown a photo of us, the ones behind the camera capturing all these beautiful couples! We are Ben and Krystal DeRuiter and we LOVE preserving weddings and tons of other special moments through video! We started Brave Productions to help bless couples with affordable videography but, honestly, WE have been the ones most blessed. By the love stories, the families, the cultures, and the pure thankfulness we have been shown. It has been the most honoring and overwhelmingly JOYFUL 2022 so far.

We have loved to do this together. We’ve spent countless hours in the car, eaten countless double doubles after events, fought more times than I can count, and more than anything, fallen more in love as we have witnessed God’s beautiful creation and love stories, young and old.

If you know someone getting married or having an event, we would love to help! We are so thankful for everyone who has referred us and helped us get this business off the ground! It is not lost on us the amount of love and support we have been shown.

Had the best assistant today! He helped carry the gear, grab waters and even grabbed a few pictures for me.

Today we were at my Alma Mater getting the final interviews done for a video for them. Excited to get this project completed!

There are so many options out there for a mid-ceremony special moment! It can be something like sand pouring or candle lighting.

This couple decided on communion. What a special moment the bride and groom had when they got to step away from everyone and take part in communion and prayer together!
