What do you guess are the five most stressful jobs in the world?

I’d bet you can guess most of them: firefighter, military personnel, police officer, airline pilot.

But the fifth most stressful job in the world might surprise you. That is, unless, you’re an event planner…

For the sixth year running, event planning has been ranked as one of the most stressful jobs on Earth. This year, CareerCast has pegged 'event coordinator' at #5 on their list of stressful jobs—just slightly less stressful than running into burning buildings.

Journey fans never stopped believin’ the legendary rock group would be back in Provo!

The band returns to Stadium of Fire at LaVell Edwards Stadium on July 1st to headline the USA’s premier independence celebration AND to commemorate 50 years of chart-topping music!

Tickets will be available at stadiumoffire.com beginning Friday, March 24th. Freedom Festival email subscribers (that's you!) get early access to seats. You will get a code March 23 that that will let you purchase tickets early at 10am on Friday, March 24th. Tickets become available to the general public at noon the same day. (For those not yet subscribed, click here.)

The nation’s BIGGEST stadium fireworks spectacle will follow Journey’s performance and an evening of patriotic celebrations—including a thrilling flyover by F-35 jets from Utah’s Hill Air Force Base. Stadium of Fire will also be televised to more than one million military men and women in more than 100 countries via the American Forces Network.

“When Journey headlined Stadium of Fire in 2015, we had never seen guests in the stadium so excited,” said Jim Evans, Executive Director of America’s Freedom Festival. “People young and old danced and sang along to every word to every song. Journey’s hits are so ingrained in our national culture. We are so eager to have them back, and we wish them a huge congratulations on 50 years of incredible music!”

Journey transformed America’s rock and roll scene when they first performed in 1973. Since then, the band has achieved 25 gold and platinum albums and 19 top-40 singles in the U.S., including mega-hits “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Open Arms,” “Separate Ways,” “Faithfully,” and “Lights.” With more than 48 million albums sold in the U.S. alone, they are in the top 25 best-selling bands in American history, and were recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Current members include guitarist and vocalist Neal Schon, keyboardist and vocalist Jonathan Cain, lead vocalist Arnel Pineda, drummer and vocalist Deen Castronovo, keyboardist and vocalist Jason Derlatka, and bassist Todd Jensen.

Stadium of Fire is presented by America's Freedom Festival at Provo, a nonprofit, non-partisan organization supporting educational programs and events that promote freedom and democracy. Combined with July 4th’s Grand Parade and the Freedom Days vendor market in downtown Provo, the Balloon Fest (our annual hot-air balloon event), and patriotic events at the SCERA Center for the Arts in Orem, almost 500,000 people attend Freedom Festival events over the Independence Day week in Utah Valley.

Stadium of Fire will once again be produced and directed by the EMMY® award-winning production team of Baruch-Gayton Productions.

This will be one of our most spectacular shows ever. See you in July!

On November 12th, 2022, 14 pre-eminent ballet dancers, all impacted by the Ukraine war, came together for “Reunited in Dance”, a one-night-only, extraordinary dance gala at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. The dancers, former members of Russia’s most elite companies, including the Bolshoi Ballet, Mariinsky Ballet, Mikhailovsky Ballet and Stanislavsky Ballet, faced many obstacles in their escape to personal and artistic freedom. “On this special evening, all these artists became a single remarkable group, not just standing up for what we believe but dancing for it," commented RID Artistic Director Xander Parish.

Baruch-Gayton Productions produced a live telecast of the event, erected a 50 x 35 foot LED viewing screen on the Argyros Plaza and mapped scenic backgrounds that surrounded the screen, adding another layer of atmosphere to the emotionally-charged evening. We also conceived and executed a light show throughout the Center, featuring skytrackers and searchlights that were visible for miles…

Baruch/Gayton is honored to have produced the Candlelight Kick-Off on behalf of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

Dining by candlelight was the only option for a group of local arts lovers in 1974 when they held a dinner and concert inside a vacant Kresge five-and-dime store in Costa Mesa to raise money to build a major performing arts center in Orange County. The room was re-envisioned into an elegant ballroom...
