Steve Payne - Photographer A slightly silly British photographer, based in DTLA. I have been a professional photographer all my life. I am based at The Red Loft in Downtown Los Angeles

I started working as a freelance at The Evening Standard on Fleet Street in London shooting features and restaurants. I also worked for Sounds, Melody Maker, The NME, and Record Mirror shooting bands. In 1991 I moved to Los Angeles and was mostly shooting film and video (and still do), but have gradually drifted back to stills and now it's about 50/50. I have also directed, shot and edited many projects, but that's a whole other story.
