My country & western record will finally be here on December 11. And it's just in time for Christmas! It's called Campfire Singin' Cowboy, and it's nothing but a good ol' time. You'll hear 15 brand spankin' new songs: 14 originals and one Ricky Nelson cover. There's plenty of guitarin', singin', and humdinger melodies to please every guy and gal. what was once the world famous pig n whistle---featuring a back room that had people from all over the world coming to play in, is now just a hollywood casualty... the back room ---where the original rat pack met, judy garland had her sweet sixteen party there----everyone from wyatt earp to bogart to gable to shirley temple having a drink named after her now just after thoughts as mr tempo brings his corporate food to the block.... the wood floors covered in tile the ornate ceiling painted over. and the marque (you remember the one you saw in jack nicholson,s chinatown movie) all gone in the name of progress...... as hollywood sinks slowly once again into new depths of homeless tents, hard core drugs, and wilders running amok. have i become bitter over losing yet another club to corporate dollars----not bitter but disgusted as the money hungry freaks of the world destroy anything in their way to the bank.
