Atlanta Amorette circa 2006. Notice the look of total relaxation. I had no kids, no hair and not a care in the world. I was renting a two bedroom house with my friend Kelcie so we were going half on like $1000. This was before the clubs went crazy with sections so it cost nothing to go out. Parties were fun! Music was great and we stayed as safe as we could. What a time to be alive 🌹🌹🌹

In addition to being an -which means that I sell things on Amazon, I have also just become which is basically affiliate marketing. This means that I may share content around things I buy, use and like on Amazon and I'll collect a commission if any of you happen to buy something that I recommend!

I also am still actively selling live plants on DoorDash for local LA customers. Just search "QueenBoutique" and it will come up if my store is within range.

In addition to those things, I am available for team gift activations and special events that involve plant or foliage decor.

I am also still studying herbalism and gardening as well as continuing to build my skill sets in e-commerce and digital marketing.

On my wish list for next year are studying ceramics (potting), painting and floristry 🎨

What I love about and this new project that he dropped is that it represents freedom. Creative freedom that is true and pure and is really only about you as an artist and what you are feeling and nothing at all to with what the world wants or money or what or anything like that. It represents the freedom and ability to grow and evolve and do whatever the hell makes you happy. All creatives can relate. I love that for him and everyone. Have I connected with the piece yet... no. But that has more to do with the fact that I have only attempted to listen to it in my home while doing some type of "work". When the time comes I will listen to it in nature totally at peace and I will connect, or not... really doesn't matter. 3 Stacks is forever an inspiration and a true artist. 🖤🖤🖤

My DoorDash Store is still open for business for if you live in . or just search "Queen Boutique" if you are in the delivery radius (10 miles from West Inglewood) it will come up!! For now it's plants only but I'm adding seasonal floral bouquets this week! I'm going ti focus on unusual blooms that catch my eye like these tinted cabbages, yes cabbage is actually a flower and these have the shape and structure of a rose but they are far more interested and sturdy and can last up to a month!

In the Summer of 2020, George Floyd was brutally murdered by police and the whole world saw it. It was a tipping point of countless killings of unarmed Black People in America. We were more than tired. I went to the following Saturday- we had been selling plants since that spring and we were doing well. I knew there was a protest planned at Pan Pacific park a few miles away. By the afternoon, people began coming by the shop saying that the protest which started very peacefully was escalating as cops flooded the streets in riot gear and began shooting rubber bullets into a peaceful protest to incite violence. There were already hundreds of tanks at the midtown shopping district a few miles away.

I am from LA and I was in middle school during the LA riots in '92 after the Rodney King verdict. I remember it well. I emailed the local print shop and had a bunch of BLACK OWNED BUSINESS signs printed out to post on my window as protection. I went around to all of the other businesses on Pico that I knew were Black Owned and give them posters too. This was not meant to be cute this was literally try and stop someone that is ready to tear city up from targeting your business. It was worth a shot.
Our neighborhood survived that night, except for the on the corner of Pico and Mansfield on my block. We kept the poster up as sort of a reminder and affirmation. Several of@the shops on Pico still have theirs.
When I closed the shop over a year later, I took the poster off of the wall and framed it. It's now in my home near my desk.

I just created a print that is identical to the original with the utility block letters in an 8x10 size for easy framing. Link in bio.

It's Friday the 13th and it must be my lucky because my first product is now available on Amazon Prime!!! This is so exciting as it represents a major move in gaining market share in the world of Lifestyle and Home & Garden Goods specifically in e-commerce. As a working Mom of two young boys I have been actively working to design a life that is centered around working from home, being present for myself and my kids and still doing what I love and bringing unique and beautiful items to the market place. I have learned and grown and stretch myself so much in this process and I am proud of myself in this moment. Now it's time to build out my store and Brand and KILL IT!!! Thank you for rocking with me and being patient and supportive always!!!!
