We originally wanted to elope in Iceland. We were drawn to the dramatic landscape, partly because of the black sand beach. But life has a funny way of changing your plans so we found a way to recreate the Iceland look much closer to home. You get the drama of the dark, foggy beach without the growing tourism, hefty airfare+lodging, or cold temperatures. We planned this elopement without ever having visited, and we fell in love with so many locations we saw on the way. A summer wedding in Chicago means you run the risk of sudden rain on your wedding day. Right after the ceremony, we saw that there was an impending storm, so we rushed into the 1959 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud we had for the day, hoping to get couples portraits done before the storm rolled in. It was hot and humid, the car didn’t have AC, it hardly fit Jessica’s dress, and our heads touched the ceiling. It was a wild, love-drunk, frantic mess, but in such a good way. Here’s their first intimate kiss away from crowds after being pronounced as husband + wife. ❦

During the pandemic, everyone’s weddings were postponed (including our own), and because of the isolation, we took a little hiatus from Instagram to focus on ourselves. We let life take us where it wanted, and it led us down some amazing paths. We added a cute little dog to our family, pursued some other passions, learned a lot of things, and moved to Chicago. But now that the world is approaching some level of normalcy again, we’re back. We’re back on social media, and we’re ready for all the love that was denied their right to be celebrated properly during the pandemic. We’re ready for the vows and speeches that have had an extra year to be cultivated, and we’re ready to capture it all. Can’t wait to meet our couples. Good things come to those who wait, and the best is yet to come 🤍

Based in Southern California, we are a traveling duo (Hannah Chung & Jason Shields) that loves to produce creative content. We offer photography and videography for weddings, engagements, family photos, graduations, and more. Our relationship as a couple makes it easy for us to engage with other couples and families, & we understand what's important to you in conveying your love for one other through photo and video. We service all of California, including San Diego, Los Angeles, and the Bay area, and we are open to travel throughout the United States.
