Reliving the magic of S&G’s wedding through the gorgeous photos from Mandee Johnson Photography was almost as fun as getting to experience it in person. Almost. These two epitomize why I love planning weddings. Their kindness, their creative vision, their joy, and their deep love for each other was woven into every detail of their day, and I would plan a million weddings with them if I could. March recap! It was such a fun month packed with catering tastings, bridal salon visits, a trip to the desert for a venue tour, a rainy (but still beautiful) garden wedding, hotel rooftop party, an ocean view wedding, working with so many creative pros turned friends, beginning a new mastermind, and networking with some of my favorite people. It was a good month!
Wedding planning and decision fatigue - it’s a thing! My point today is that if you’re feeling like all you do is make wedding decisions and you’re feeling a little worn out, you’re not alone. It happens to almost every couple, and I think it’s a totally natural part of the process. Just hang in there and before you know it you’ll be dancing your socks off and enjoying the best day of your lives! 💃🕺👯♀️👯♂️

Newly engaged? Here is my two cents on how to get started (or more specifically, when). Will some of my fellow wedding pros find this controversial? Probably. And that’s fine. But…I’m a firm believer that being engaged is a time to be enjoyed while you’re planning the big celebration, and the pressure to do.everything.now can lead to feeling like ther’s no joy to be found in the process. And I’m not having that! Take the time you need to bask in your happiness. Admire the ring! Enjoy your newly minted title of fiancé! And then when you’re ready, jump on the planning train. (And hire some kick-ass vendors to help you through the process).
