TITLE: Bakery Assistant
Qualifications include basic reading, writing and math skills. Working knowledge of bakery. Some baking experience preferred. Spanish speaking not required, but a plus in the kitchen environment. Serve Safe Certification required.
- Hours – flexible.
Being on time and handle all duties in efficient and expeditious manner. May be required to work nights, weekends. Must be able to work independently.
- Responsibilities include:
▪ Produce mixes, batters, doughs for various cakes, muffins and other bakery items. Bake and pack assigned items for wholesale and retail. Advise supervisor of low inventory items. Knowledge of cake decorating or talent in that area a plus.
▪ Maintain a clean, neat and well-organized work area, including but not limited to reach-ins, walk-ins and tables. May assist by performing dishwashing before end of shift. May assist with other duties as assigned.
▪ This job requires ability to perform the following:
* Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
* Moving about the function areas
* Handling objects
* Bending, stooping and kneeling.
