I released my mini session schedule to my email list with every intention of posting it here the next day. Except they sold out every single spot and there was nothing left to post! So, there's a new date with a few spots if y'all are interested, didn't want you to feel left out 😉

Like most photographers, I am TERRIBLE about making sure my own family is photographed. Even worse about making sure those images we do take are printed and hung on our walls. Did something about it this week though.

Our last family photo is two years old. McCarty has no teeth. And Chris is throwing his signature thumbs up. Probably going to make them take a picture with me this weekend. And in two years, I will print it and add to this gallery.

Let this be a reminder to do better than me! Print those images, surround yourself with them! These little snippets are bringing me some real joy today.

I've been photographing these little ones for so many years and their sibling shots are always my favorite! They're just so good at it. While editing our session this year, I realized we've accidentally shot very similar images almost every year. Did some digging back in the archives and my heart is so full!

Watching your kids grow is one of the most incredible parts of this job. It happens so quickly (and sometimes so slowly, you know.) I'm just full of such gratitude that I am trusted to document these little moments for you all. Thank you!

This empathetic, smart, incredibly sassy and wildly funny little lady turns 7 today.

Earlier this week Chris and I played Rock, Paper, Scissors for who would have to stay in the room while she fell asleep. I won, kissed her goodnight and as I was walking out she said "Wait! Doesn't the winner get to stay with me?! How did Daddy trick you?!"

Smart monkey, I am so very lucky to spend countless hours by her side, waiting for her to fall asleep.
