I’d love to share with you about a new cause I’ve aligned with, it’s called Help Heal Veterans, and the group is using arts and crafts as therapeutic aids to help our veterans, particularly those with PTSD. Art therapy for emotional healing is a cause close to my heart, and is the foundation of the Society of Wildflowers Conference. We’ll be donating the excess supplies from this event to Help Heal Veterans this summer.

In the meantime, please check out the organization and support them if you’re able. Thank you so much to Jim Scatena for the introduction. I look forward to supporting you, as FloraCraft has often supported me. ❤️

Help Heal Veterans offers a variety of therapeutic craft kits free of charge to our veterans, both in-home and at community craft centers.

Wanna hear a secret? This card was so easy to make, it’s kinda embarrassing! The flowers and embossed paper are doing all the work here, I just gathered them for the party. A party on the front of this card! Rhinestone trim around the edge, a circle of glitter around the medallion, and a shimmering die-cut heart gave it the sparkle-sparkle, (that’s a requirement for all my valentines). Supplies: hot pink card stock embossed with hearts embossing folder, inked with in Antique Linen. Mounted a die cut scalloped circle (cut with my Sizzix Big Shot), then added die cut hearts and a die cut arrow. You guessed it, all Sizzix! Next, I mixed Esme and Elira microflowers in Precious Pink with Rosy Red Heart embellishments from . Everything was pulled together just by popping them all around the card. They make everything beautiful. Do you make your own valentines? Let’s exchange next year! I’m off to the mailbox to send this pretty treat out to a special friend.

Everyone knows art and creativity have healing benefits, but not everyone knows HOW to be creative. Everyone knows healing starts with loving yourself, but again, HOW to start? These thoughts keep me up at night. As someone who has myself overcome significant life challenges, I’ve decided to invest everything I’ve got into sharing the gift of self empowerment and self confidence with women who are ready to make a change. I’ve gathered my favorite creative brands and an all star team of inspiring female demonstrators, then wrapped it up into a perfectly curated California beach vacation, it’s taking place this summer in July! This is my passion project, something I NEED to share with the world, and something I think women especially need now, more than ever. I’ve built this extraordinary event this summer in Laguna Beach for YOU to join me and all my friends, we’re basically gonna make beautiful things, release limiting beliefs, howl at the moon and change your life. The Society of Wildflowers Conference is a restorative, creative retreat for women. Immerse yourself in piles of abundant creative supplies like paint, wool, glitter, clay, wood, textiles, water marbling, and more. Receive licensed therapeutic support, energy healing, physical and spiritual wellness, and a heart-filling community of safe, like-minded women. We ARE what happened in Vegas! What a delight to create this immersive vintage Vegas party at the Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney District in Anaheim. A sumptuous menu collaboration with the Jazz Kitchen’s talented culinary team included decadent treats like lamb lollipops, sinful blackened chicken mac and cheese, a robust seafood display, prime rib carving station, Cobb salad with lobster and chicken made to order, strawberry Showgirl Shooters with vodka whipped cream and an ode to The King, peanut butter mouse tarts with bananas flambee. Signature cocktails were offered in honor of The Chairman of the Board, “Old Blue Eyes”, featuring a delectable mix of blueberry vodka with lemonade and soda. Guests enjoyed a live swing band, celebrity Elvis and Frank Sinatra singers, a live DJ, strolling sleight of hand magician, and of course plenty of showgirls! A feather-adorned pinup was positioned in a ten foot lighted birdcage, while satin and sparkle covered cigarette girls in pillbox hats passed out feather fans, dice, playing cards and lots of fun swag for guests to take home. Three casinos and a high-roller room featured poker, craps, roulette and blackjack, and a hilarious trio called “The Priscillas” added hilarious antics to the fun. My personal favorite thing to create for this event were the handmade, lighted neon signs and the “Slots a Fun” casino costume, designed for guests to interact with a gorgeous retro styled entertainer. A round of applause to the incredible team at the Jazz Kitchen, and many thanks to my clients and team of party staff and providers. Couldn't do it without you. Cheers to 2024! Anyone else totally fine with leaving 2023 in the dust? The past year has been wild. I’ve been quietly navigating a bajillion big challenges with health, family, friendship and business. Sometimes 2023 felt like a circus! I think every one of my coping mechanisms was tested to the limit. I learned a lot about boundaries, listening to and relying on my intuition, and I’m proud for getting through it all. Happy to be heading into the new year with some big wins, exciting goals, renewed optimism and of course, the creativity is in check and on deck. At first making a recap of such a frustrating year seemed like it would be pretty blasé, but I decided to peek back, if only just to reflect. I’ve got a little extra holiday cheer, enough to share! It’s a delish booze-free holiday mocktail with orange and amaretto flavors. I love being able to kick back and relax while decorating for the holidays without getting too blitzened! This was simple to make, I added two large ice squares to a 16 ounce stemless glass (thanks Target dollar section!), then poured in a bottle of Curious No. 4, it’s flavored with orange and mandarin flavors.
