My heart was dancing with joy to see my lifelong friends as we reunited a few weeks ago to honor the life of our Mama Sue.

Thank you for touching my life, Mama Sue and giving us your two daughters, Carrie + Jessica who I love wholeheartedly. Rest In Grace and Peace.

I hope everyone finds friends who laugh out loud with you no matter where you might be. Surround yourself with friends who are always a cheerleader for you, trust you and believe in your talent and lift you up. MY POPS has always taught me to try my best to live in the power of positivity. I might not always be successful, but I’m always going to try my simply best. We might have been handed some big lemons 🍋 recently with his lung cancer diagnosis coming back, but we are going to do our best to turn it into lemonade over the next 7 more weeks of chemotherapy and radiation treatments ahead and beyond. 1 week down - 1 chemotherapy + 4 radiation treatments this past week. 👍🏻 You got this Pops 💪🏻 and I’ll see you again in 17 days!!!

The majority of the film takes place in Charleston, SC so evoking southern hospitality and the feeling of home was essential when curating it all.

From home style biscuit mix to local honey 🍯 with beechwood honey dippers and blueberry 🫐 🍋 lemon thyme jam to divine amber and sandalwood candles 🕯and candle wick trimmers, Sweet Tea simple syrup with fresh lemons 🍋 to create the matriarch of the movie’s down home Sweet Tea with her own recipe card, personalized hand calligraphy notes from the director and a gift card for delicious marketplace food from for the recipients. When 2020 hands you lemons 🍋 simply make sweet tea lemonade. 😄 It’s been scary as a small business owner to navigate the whole reshaping of our event industry in 2020, but it’s also been thrilling to use my design skills in other creative aspects of my industry.

I’m super proud of how the 100 gift boxes for the HFPA turned out last week for the fantastic new Amazon Prime movie “Uncle Frank”. Using the personalized touch and curating every item in the box and design of the box to evoke an exact feeling relatable to the film made me elated. Creating that final extension of the film that can give “guests” a whole experience in their homes while still enjoying new entertainment is a wonderful addition to my brand.

I’ll show y’all the closer gift box contents and details tomorrow!!

It brings a sense of history to the present moment and puts a smile on my face and happiness in my heart.

The Universe sure does work in mysterious ways. posted about before Thanksgiving and we made a donation. Then today our GPS took us on a route leaving Bozeman, MT that wound us right they . It was a breathtaking display of nature showing us her beauty. We stopped for a bit to let play in the super fresh snow ❄️ and to take in the clean crisp air. Social distancing at its absolute best. I look forward to going back and seeing more of it someday in the summer and all of the seasons. Donate to it or any of our national parks if you can this holiday season. Such a great holiday getaway to nature and small towns with the family.

for my favorite Aunt Bobbi who gave me the which sat in my stacks until early this year when I saw an ad for Ruth’s newest book and decided to read all 3 of her books in quick succession. They were fun and twisty and don’t stay in my head really now that it’s been a few months since reading them but I’m still grateful for the spark ⚡️ created by them to reignite my love of reading.

I’m grateful to my husband who suggested I check out .book.club that he heard a bunch about from his podcast.

I love Jordy’s book 📖 stack aesthetic and his fervent passion for books 📚 and staying on the right side of politics and racial and social injustices. Plus we’re both Michigan boys now living in Los Angeles who love books so that’s a fun similarity. He’s a great inspiration.

I’m also grateful to Jordy since him being interviewed on podcast back in January 2020 led me to her podcast and becoming friends with Sarah. And y’all know her book podcast is my favorite and I’ve been listening to all of the back episodes and am a total supporter!! I’ll be snarky and fun any day with you Sarah 😘

I love the .book.club and and all of the great people in our chats who make me smile. Too many to list now but I see you and send you a book hug.

The amazing Stacey of has been the kindest and my first friend that I just chatted away with and absolutely adore her.

The entire book community has lit my soul on fire 🔥 this year and for me to create my own and creating community and sharing my love for books 📚, authors and independent bookstores with all of my followers around the world. It’s made me beyond ecstatic to be a part of it all and to put my own spin on it all.

Nature feeds my soul. Mountain 🏔 life specifically. I’m come to realize that it brings me such peace and joy. Now don’t get it twisted I’m not off in a tent 🏕 on the cold ground. 😂 That isn’t my jam.
I like a nice cabin or lake home. Fireplace. Pretty views of the mountains and forest and water. Seeing wildlife in the distance and coexisting peacefully. Fresh air. The purest form of social distancing imaginable.

In case you forgot, #blacklivesmatter Our son matters and so many others who are persecuted or discriminated against because of the color of their skin matter. The color of a person’s skin is forever. It’s not a uniform. We as a society can do better every day to make this country and world a better, safer place to live and have equal liberties for all. That’s the “all” we are fighting for and to my friends or followers or potential clients - DO NOT post any “all lives matter” in my feed. Educate yourselves better before you utter that statement. I’m going to make it crystal clear so you know where I stand in this world - all lives matter is a given and no one is saying blue lives don’t matter when you say #blacklivesmatter. There is no “all” lives matter until we get the equal rights for our black brothers and sisters and make this country truly the land of the free. If this sentiment doesn’t ring true to you then please unfollow me. Why thanks you two for the @simplytroy shout out on your awesome podcast @higgins.ben and @ashley_iaconetti. And #AshleyIaconetti is 1000% correct that the 5 different musical groups (actually 6 if you include the ceremony musician singing the processional song and the timing of the church doors 🚪 opening precisely at a specific tonal change) and every single song being chosen by the sweet couple and put into a logistical sequence to move the whole #wedding #reception night along was the MOST difficult technically and logistically of the entire year of wedding planning.
